^(i admit i didn't read through all of that) ...but does that mean that at least that one affair was just made up by some nutter?

^it seems so, that Brianne Patterson seems to be a nutter.
So Tinsel Korey is the alleged affair...? she´s not underage though... in a link posted pages back, someone guessed Dakota Fanning...

This is why I hate cheating blinds, because the people who publish them seem to think its fine once a split is announced but are too chicken **** to say who it is beforehand. If the source is tight proof, then they shouldn't have anything to worry about IMO.

Regarding the Oscar Guy who faded away, I don't think it fits Jack Nicholson; the height of his fame was a really long time ago and he has gotten work from what I can think of. Nic Cage has been working non-stop to pay off his debts so I don't think its him either.

Surely Jack was in his late 30s around the time that Drew was born, rather than thirteen years later, when he would have been pushing on for fifty.

It does say the fading Oscar actor is still working today.

Ok so:

He is working today - but a B lister

The height of his fame he was an A-lister (an Academy award winner/nominee)

In between both, he had "a very long absence" as no-one would hire him.

Nic Cage would fit the bit about A-to-B, as he is really only doing medicore - if not terrible - movies these days... does anyone know if he had an absence? I know he won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, and was also nominated for Adapation (so fits both winner and nominee). But I don't remember a noticable absence...

ETA:
no he seems to have done a couple films a year... except 2003 & 2004 in which he did only one per year (matchstick men and national treasure)

^someone here guessed Adrien Brody. After the pianist he did two movies that were released in 2003 and 2004, but I don´t know when they were shot. The last big movie he was in was King Kong in 2005 and has been doing small movies ever since, with the exception of his cameo in Midnight in Paris (but it´s a Woody Allen movie if you know what I mean lol)

I think you can also add that he has a pedigree....indicating he's from an important family.

As we all know Nicholas Cage's off stage name is Coppola...

But you are right in that Cage doesn't seem to have any long absence...unless you mean absence from good movies...in which case he's been very absent lately.

Another who has faded considerably lately is Russell Crowe. But maybe that's an age thing.

Among the very talented that leap to mind it's really just Cage and Phoenix who have a pedigree. And Phoenix is sort of a sitting duck....though he has certainly been absent...

^I think pedigree in this BI means the guy's artistic résumé. It's probably someone with a very high profile career prior to the two "incidents".

Brody's a very good guess too.

Only thing is that at the height of his fame he was only 29/30..
Would that be old enough to classify as a guy in his "30s/40s"? (technically yes, but you know what I mean).

reading another site this comment was posted guessing that the actor is William Hurt (who didn't dissapear, but quality of films/roles did), and the Teen is Drew.

"William Hurt was nominated for an Oscar three consecutive years: Kiss of the Spider Woman, 1985 (he won); Children of a Lesser God, 1986; and Broadcast News, 1987. He was at the height of his career before disappearing from major projects for 18 years (see IMD, and at this time Drew would have been turning 13 which fits the blind - "barely a teen". Who knows, but it fits. We know how out of control Drew was, her mother was useless, she went to rehab at that time, and Steven Speilberg is her god father. Actually, this cements it for me, especially when you add in Hurt's abuse of Marlee Matlin which she said was 'daily', and he's admitted to it by apologizing."

Another possible candidate is Daniel Day-Lewis. He certainly had a lot of gaps in his career....

I still think, that if they use the word pedigree correctly, they are referring to a strong family entertainment/broadcast connection. DDL has that as his father was a poet and his mother an actress...
