Pregnant actress Jessica Alba is set to make some new enemies in Hollywood after criticising her contemporaries and even her own parents in a scathing new interview. The Fantastic Four beauty, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren, told Elle magazine she has never used her stunning looks to land movie roles, despite her status as a sex symbol. Alba's controversial comments came as she wigged out during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

The mum-to-be held her small pregnancy bump in as she posed in a series of outfits and wigs for the shoot as she embarks on a publicity drive for her new movie The Eye.

The 26-year-old shows her disdain for teen Hollywood star Zac Efron and Latina actress Eva Mendes in the interview, and even criticises her Into the Blue co-star Paul Walker.

Despite being only six years older than 20-year-old High School Musical heart-throb Efron, Alba was unimpressed by the tween idol at the Teen Choice Awards last August, where they were named 'Hotties of the Year'. She said: "He looks like a child with a lot of make-up. I was like, 'My God, you're just a little kid'."

Alba names herself alongside Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez as the only non-white actresses who can open a movie. When the journalist was quick to add Eva Mendes alongside the group, Alba fired back: "But is Mendes greenlighting movies?" .

Referring to her Into The Blue co-star Paul Walker - a diving movie in which Alba spent most of her on-screen time in a bikini - she complained: "Paul was the lead, Paul helped develop it. You wouldn't believe how much that kid got paid! And I don't think he did one ounce of publicity."
Luck Chuck, which was critically panned upon its release late last year. She said:
Alba admitted she was unhappy with the outcome of her latest movie Good "It's porn... It wasn't supposed to be like that."

Despite being cast in a string of sexy roles, including stripper Nancy Callaghan in Sin City, Alba wants to be remembered for her acting and business skills, instead of her body. She said: "I think there are ambitious girls who will do anything to be famous. "Contrary to how people may feel, I've never used my sexuality. That's not part of it for me. "When I'm in a meeting, I want to tell you why I'm an asset, how I'm a commodity, how I can put a**** in the seats, not, 'There's a chance you're going to be able to *beep* me'. That's never been my deal."

Alba describes herself as half-Latina, referring to her father Mark's Mexican grandparents.
Despite recent reports Alba was ashamed of her Latin heritage, she insists she's fiercely proud of her roots and wants to learn more about Mexican history.

She said: "I'm proud of my heritage. That's all I know! I only know a Mexican-American upbringing. Nobody really knows what to do with me. "I'm half Latin, but I grew up in the States, and I can't get roles playing a Latina because I don't speak Spanish.

"And I don't want to be the best friend, or the promiscuous girl, or the maid, because those stereotypes still exist with Latin roles. I want to be a leading lady." Referring to a family holiday to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Alba admitted she clashed with her parents over how to spend their time, with her mother and father opting to relax in popular bar chain Senor Frogs. She said: "When I go to Mexico, I want to go to see the pyramids, to learn about the history... My parents want to go to Senor Frogs every day."

Alba also spoke of her excitement of becoming a mother; "I'm madly in love. I come from a huge family and I'm the oldest of 15 cousins, so I've known I've wanted kids. "I'm ready to be a mum, and it's a really happy time for us and our families."

source.
This article is so bull****. I'm no super-fan of Jessica's but she didn't bad mouth Eva in that article in Elle. It didn't come across like she was angry at all. It's more like she was speaking out at Hollywood and the racism and sexism that exists in getting parts. It's like even though actresses like her and Eva Mendes are in successful movies, they still have a hard time green lighting films because of the color of their skin and their gender.
It's funny because I actually respect her more after reading the ELLE interview.

Oh dear...Jessica Alba just sounds so snooty in this article. I've never liked her, but I've never disliked her either. She just seems bitchy to me.

she's cute but i think she's been too glorified by men for her body and such that people think that she is drop dead gorgeous when she's just not. sorry to put it bluntly but even though she is pretty she just isn't what people percieve her to be.

and the recent articles and interviews she's been giving just lowers my opinion of her. and i mean come on her movies aren't exactly THAT great. i mean she wasn't the star of Fantastic Four. she just basically needs to get over herself and get her head out of her a**.

I can't believe she openly said that about Eva Mendes and Paul Walker...Who does she think she is?

Every movie she's "opened" has pretty much bombed.

Exactly. Jessica, I think that I could count the "asses" you put in seats with your last two movies on both hands...how do you spin that to a movie executive?

She's a generically pretty, no-talent body. I remember watching her on the red carpet at the Oscars; she was in this beautiful gold Dior gown, but the minute she opened her mouth the image was ruined. She was snapping her gown and every other word was "like" - she made Ryan Seacrest look classy.

Jessica "Don't Call Me Latina" Alba has another dud on her hands!
The actress, who can't open a film, may have happy baby news but she won't be thrilled to learn that her new film, The Eye, has failed at the box office.

Despite major promotion from Alba, her movie is projected to only take in $12-15 million this weekend on 2436 screens in the U.S.

By comparison the new Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana 3D concert film is
expected to take in a WHOPPING $25-30 million for Friday - Sunday. AND, that movie was only released on 683 screens in theaters across the country!
The Hannah Montana movie has set a new record for biggest opening of a concert film and a 3D movie.

Poor Jessica!

She should take a nice LONG maternity break
There have been tons of previews on tv for this movie-but I think that it looks awful. The fact that she is in it, only makes me want to see it less. Maybe this will shut her up for a while.
