I had the pleasure of meeting Russel in 2007, and he is the kindest most genuine person, he was so sweet to me and my mom. Such a gentlemen, I'm sad his marriage is ending.

Thank god the girl got it at last!
1. She was too good (too successfull / pretty / classy) for him
2. He treated her terribly. Remember how he tweeted private pictures of her sleeping or without make-up and thought it was "funny"!?! Ugh.

Really? I thought Russel was too good for her. I found her 180 degrees away from classy. After all, she is a "california girl". (California girl implies whip cream and fireworks coming out of anomalous parts of the body [according to Katy])

Never understood the appeal of Russell Brand and never will.
Not a fan of Katy Perry either.

However I did think they suited each other in a sense that they are both weird.

I thought it would last longer. I've read just two or three weeks ago in a Katy intervew that they are very happy together and love each other.

the dailymail is suggesting that it was katy that was partying too much (rather than russell) eg. he wouldnt go to the after parties she attended.

wasnt there a weird story from their wedding in the noth of india how katy gave a 1 hour speech to all the guests about how they were so suited to each other?

The weirdest marriage ever. I don't get their appeal at all, always thought Katy Perry is utterly talentless, but it is sad when people break up. Simple as it is. Hope there won't be any dirty stories behind it. Katy seems like a nice person, just not very talented but with a knack for show-business.
