^i saw the clip. wonder how long the full interview will be tomorrow. i also wonder how much she was paid for it. has anyone seen any media reports that indicate she was paid?

i think the comparison to whitney houston on matt lauer's part was bit much.

whitney and lindsay should never be in the same sentence.

i don't think she's paid anything at this point. she's the one making calls all around the place over at NBC.

Looks to me like Page Six owes a few favors to the Lohans; it seems like Lindsay is the only 'source' for the story...half of these things are unverified as far as I can see...

Lindsay Lohan’s current campaign for a career comeback, which kicks off tonight with her “SNL” hosting gig, will continue with a “sexual thriller” from Kris Thykier, the producer of Madonna’s “W.E.” Sources say that Lohan is joining the cast of a feature project directed by Johan Renck, the Swedish music video guru who’s shot clips for the Material Girl, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, New Order and Chris Cornell. Renck has recently directed episodes of edgy hit shows including “Breaking Bad” and “The Walking Dead,” as well as fashion spots for H&M, Levi’s and Agent Provocateur. Lohan is already playing Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie, and she’s been making the media rounds this week. On Thursday, the troubled starlet told “Today” host Matt Lauer, “I’ve certainly seen a lot, and I’ve grown. I’ve . . . learned how to live my life in a way that I’m happy.” She broke out in the Lorne Michaels-produced “Mean Girls” in 2004. Now the “SNL” creator is the first to give her another chance.

Here is TV Line's summary of her SNL performance last night...certainly not the home run she promised (and needed...)

...the tepid punch lines and underdeveloped sketches whipped up on this week’s show make it inconclusive in determining whether or not Lohan still has the power to entertain.

Outspoken comedian Joan Rivers wrote on Twitter: "Lindsay Lohan was so bad on SNL that the judge is sending her back to rehab, but for acting lessons..."

But many at home were not laughing, with entertainment sites saying she looked "puffy" and "tired" during the performance.

"Lindsay Lohan's done. Lost it," tweeted Fox Boogie while Kurt D. Soller posted: "The only thing Lindsay Lohan seems addicted to is her SNL cue cards."

^ Yes- the Daily Mail really took her apart...I kind of feel sorry for her, almost like the Ungaro disaster a couple of years ago....I don't know anymore what she can do to change things, she has become a laughing stock, and I doubt she even knows it...

i actually thought she did better than i thought she would. they all read cue cards, it's Lorne's politics that they can't memorize the cards. first few skits were quite good, the other half was bad all around, it wasn't just LiLo's fault.

on the other hand - her face is remarkable, not a move throughout the whole ep. i'm afraid it's not reversable anymore.

She's rusty. If she had to do a TV show every week, the discipline needed would see her get back into the groove - and greatly reduce the amount of spare time she'd have to spend on partying.

And when she reaches the point of turning in a decent performance, she'd get praise, and maybe she'd remember what it's like to take pride in her professional achievements, rather than her ability to hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. But that could be a hard habit to break, because she knows she can always get attention for misbehaving. She must wonder - if she gets herself together, will people stop talking about her? Would she become a sober nobody?

It was a bad episode overall, it would have needed a really terrific host to save it. I've never found her to be an astonishing actress but whatever, she was fine at it and I don't think that really matters anyway. Tbh I just don't think she's pretty enough anymore. She has ruined her looks and to me that has ruined whatever worth she had to me.

^ That's a good point- a good deal of her impact back when was her extreme freckle-faced All American Girl appeal; now that that is obviously long gone, she has lost much of what she had going for her...
