I actually agree with Lindsay Lohan. Its just the fact that its coming out of her mouth that makes people disagree. Its sad that actresses have to ugly up to win an Oscar nowadays instead of winning one based on pure talent. I know that Charlize, Nicole, and Halle were all spectacular in thier roles, but so were the countless other nominees who didn't get press 6 months before the movie was released because magazines wanted to point out that, yes, Charlize Theron can look ugly too! Lindsay isn't saying you have to be glamorous in a movie to win an oscar. But you don't have to be ugly to do so either like the past 4 Oscar winners.

Lindsay is so not hot. All that happens by actresses dressing down for roles is get more press. It doesn't make their performances any less worthwhile and for a lot of these roles, the look of the character is key. Hilary Swank in Boys Don't Cry was a girl who suffered from sexual identity crisis, to be a pretty girl in that movie wouldn't have worked. Lindsay is just a complete cow

Why should anyone care about what this third rate actress has to say about REAL actresses? What has she done in her illustrious career that makes her statements even half credible? I don't think the problem is that the Academy Awards happens to award beautiful woman who turn ugly for their roles... but teenage hags who only become recognizable because their tits are bigger than their ego.
