I'm sure if I was used to getting my own way, I'd not be fond of those who said no to me.

It doesn't negate what UK Vogue has done over the years in terms of its content, but I kinda don't see Naomi as the Martin Luther King of modelling, I'd presume petty self-interest before anything else. But I suppose that could be said of anyone.

This is probably one of the reasons

On one of her trials:

Naomi: "No! Well I didn't really want to be here. So I was MADE to be here. So obviously I'm just like, wanting to get this over with and get on with my life. This is a Big Inconvenience for me."

Naomi: Was I late today?

Barbara Walters: An hour and 20 mins.

Naomi: Oh dear. Well, I was on another job.

Barbara: Uhmmmmm. So was I.

Well, bless Barbara for coming up with (imo at least) the ultimate reason why she's perpetually late - it's a power play. She seems to make it look like it's cute, it's not actually. I'm sure she's burned many bridges over the years with this tardy behaviour.

I will add that I'm also late most of the times, but it's simply because I try to cram way too much into my schedule.

Probably shade over Bella's "tragic" runway walk.

For reals re: Naomi. Talking about breaking stereotypes and promoting diversity/inclusion meanwhile perpetuating CPT.

The fashion should be the focus, but I live for the industry drama.

Naomi Campbell vs British Vogue
Everyone will be talking about Naomi Campbell shading British Vogue on Instagram. The 46-year-old supermodel didn’t just shade British Vogue, she threw the whole damn tree at them. Naomi posted an image from British Vogue’s September issue depicting the magazine’s staff under former Editor-in-Chief, Alexandra Schulman. Not a single person of color was in the picture, which prompted the post.

Wait, I didn't know it exists. Was it trending somewhere at some point?

L’Oreal Fires Transgender Model Over Racism Tweets

The beauty giant L’Oreal has cut all ties with the transgender model Munroe Bergdorf after uncovering remarks she published about racism.

"Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people. Because most of ya’ll don’t even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour.
Your entire existence is drenched in racism."

claraamfo Not even a week ago I was proud to announce that I was to be in the same campaign as Munroe. A trans woman of colour who @lorealmakeup hired to sell make up because of who she is. Who she is, a woman who wrote a nuanced post on institutional racism and white supremacy in relation to Charlottesville and how the foundations of those heinous ideals trickle in to every facet of our society. A newspaper took her post out of context and span it as "a rant" with the most basic of dog whistle politics to rally people against her. She has now been dropped from the campaign because L'Oreal feel that she is "at odds with our values".....If she's not "worth it" anymore, I guess I'm not either. #IStandWithMunroe

^ That's awful. I know L'Oreal has hired Chris Brown to perform at an event - and even if he isn't a face of the brand, I think hiring him condones his actions. Yet they are not ok with this? What even is racist about it? She's telling the truth.

Read this a few days ago and while I didn't agree with what she said, I could understand where the frustration came from. So it would've been all over but this morning that annoying old codger Piers Morgan returned to Good Morning Britain and kicked off with his usual trollish rhetoric by putting her in the hot seat, and calling her comments 'rubbish'. Sigh. Not sure why the Yanks can't keep him there!
