Yes, i totally agree and I already said it in one of my posts, they owe us nothing, but Kristen was talking about the big girls who become celebrities, she was not refering to all the models in general i think, sure every statement can have weak sides, but i do agree with her,too...after all i am one of those who gives all my money for those pictures)lol...I do expect a few seconds for a photo and an autograph but I was never bothering them, i always tried to be very nice and respectful.
As for the stalkers...we have to hear that from them. Stalkers can stalk anybody...and to be honest most models are not very attractive for the average men. Stalkers would go after somebody like Pamela Anderson and not like Karlie Kloss for example.

Yes, I would agree with you..I think the girls on the TV shows are much more prone to people being aware of them...Models are very often under the radar for the general public, and they tend to be in a different city every couple of days- not like someone filming in Hollywood or NY where they have some sort of routine...Models have none!

exactly! And even the people working in the industry do not know the names of most models, all people,too! So I am not sure they would have stalkers, this would be an exception...but people love to dramatize and hearing one story would make their minds play with the idea and blow it out of proportion) Just like the news on TV.

And I guess I am one of the few "stalkers" lol...but I am a nice stalker)

I could understand why a young girl, who was new to the business, might be wary of older men who turn up outside her shows and know her name.

A celebrity would expect it but models are often surprised and puzzled that they could have fans.

models arent really surprised and puzzled though. they seem really used to people knowing their names. i mean during fashion week they are pretty much celebrities..ive never noticed any being surprised at all.

Yeah, I work in a 'celeb rich environment' and frequently deal with famous people, but when I've had a chance to be up in NY during fashion week I tend to not bother- I don't know, I think deep down I'm afraid the girls will be rude and it will be a disappointment... We guys have all been on the receiving end of that beautiful girl 'you really think I would talk you someone like you' look!! Although I can think of plenty of models I'd rather meet than the music, TV and movie people I do meet...

Stalking isn't about attractiveness or the size of your breasts or your fame. Criminologists have five different types of stalkers listed, let's not generalize and assume it wouldn't affect models because they're not conventionally pretty or famous enough.
