IMO Lara Stone has an ideal body for her height, but if someone was taller or shorter than her (not like an inch or two though) then that might change. But everyone's different and I find many body types very attractive.

The ideal woman? Or ideal model? Those two are completely different at this point which is sad since originally a model was supposed to be well, a MODEL. Something you strive to be, mannequin, perfect, etc.

That's kind of an open ended question because there should be no ideal. Especially for a whole entire gender. Everybody looks different and it's going to take heck of a lot for there to be the perfect model of a woman.

The ideal model's body for me would be... Morgane Dubled or whatever her name is? I think she has a great body.

Rita Hayworth in Gilda!

I all seriousness, there can never been one "ideal," but in every model there has to be a combination of things that work. Unfortunately, it seems now that the criterion to be a high fashion model is bones poking out.

What's attractive is a body that looks healthy, for example thighs that don't have a 12 inch gap between them, and a bust that is not 29 inches, and definitely not a waist that's 21 inches. Obviously for most people their idea of what looks attractive varies, so this is just my opinion. I also believe that a grown woman's slender body is what I would consider attractive, I don't like looking at kids bodies and going "she has a nice body".

yes I understand the point here izzie
my point is, more than size 2 (already 2 is hard) is not accepted on any high fashion model there for the models we know are thin some more some less
ok people might notice the difference between Iman and Coco but the people who want to have these bodies and are above size 3 they just want to get the "model size" not the Coco size am I wrong?

This is actually very true, and not only because it's correct. Throughout history the attractive, ideal female body as held by men has been the one that can produce many healthy children. Even "ideal" the hip-to-waist ratio that's been thrown out there correlates with fertility. That's why it's so odd and wrong that the ideal woman now is 14 years old and looks like a starving holocaust victim

i personally think that Doutzen Kroes, don't bash me i know a lot of ppl here hate her but i don't care , is the perfect woman..& by far the most beautiful, sexy, gorgeous, stunning woman i have ever seen in my life. She is curvy and still slender, IMO. I know a lot of people don't find her most "interesting" as a model..but i mean come on..i know so many men who would probably go "ga-ga" over her if they saw her walking down the street AND she has sex appeal with elegance at the same time But most people here equate any type of sex appeal with "cheapness"

But if you can't interpret them and, in my own case, convert them, then how can your common sense come into play? When I see "Waist: 58 cm", I don't automatically think 21''....I'd have to go to a converter/calculator for that.

To be honest, when it comes to measurements in a thread what I only really look at is height. Measurements besides that don't mean much to me but I'm sure it'd be different if I was working in the modelling/fashion industry, I'd definitely be more aware of them.

But when you convert it to inches, and then you see 21 inch waist then that should automatically click in your head "That's disgusting" or something like that. If you're a model fan especially you should know about measurements, I haven't even been into models for that long and I know for a fact that a 21 inch waist is beyond small and extreme.

Yeah. That would be the same as someone with a 60 inch waist, you know it can't be healthy and you know it doesn't look good.

In my opinion, Heidi Klum is a beautiful, beautiful woman/model. Petra Nemcova, too. They are beautiful and aren't extremely/ridiculously thin.

That's not extreme, in fact that's considered normal for a model.

24 is thrown out there as the ideal waist measurement a lot I think.
