The first photo of anja has been photoshopped. It is sooo obvious! Look at how her arms have been made thinner using liquefy, the outline isnt consistent.

I doubt vmag would have done this.

Beautiful girls at Gottex! That's what'll persuade me to buy a bathing suit.

Thank you very much for the article very interesting read.

But I cannot agree with certain things, As a watcher of the original series, at the time, Kelly and Donna, looked as "glamorous" to me as probably the girls of Gossip Girl look to today's teens, they were the height of sophistication, Brenda was suppose to be "us" entering in that totally alien world, although I have to say that her looks became almost as polished as the others very quickly. Of course i look back and they all look very "peasant" but I don't think people should be fooled, the effect they had looks wise, was tremendous.

They were not considered thin at the time, they were considered very well built with great bodies, thin like we have now was not appreciated, and no most of the people did not look like them either( well at least the characters that are suppose to be pretty). Saying they were thin is really not true. Thin was thin. Kate Moss was thin, Kelly was slim. They were chosen to reflect the tastes of their time.

I do agree that the early 90s was probably In terms of way of dressing the less sexualized period ever, was very liberating I have to say, but it was like that for a very short period and Beverly Hills changed totally to keep up with the new mood.

But I have to say that the actors of this new series look absolutely awful.

I'm so tired of seeing those sticks on the catwalk, it's just so unauthorized and it takes away the focus on the clothes and sometimes even makes the clothes look really bad. I so miss the 90's and early 00's...

hmm really? i disagree. i tend to focus more on the clothes than compared to the past decades of models. but my attention does always go straight to the clothes, i mean i'm into fashion first, then the "supporting cast."

fashion is about the clothes, not the models, right?
(though i understand they're real beings)

Early '00s? I thought that's when the whole "trend" started.
Anyway, I agree with you.

These two girls look definitely bad. There is a huge difference between being naturally skinny and looking sickly skinny . Too me, it's impossible to look like them and eat normally. They both must have some eating issues for sure .

oh, yeah, you're probably right. But I was thinking of the already established (super)models who were still around in the early 00's, Kate Moss for an example But yeah, among those upcoming young models the 'trend' was probably beginning to manifest itself..

I'm into fashion as well, but I just think that when there isn't anything 'harmonious' about the look of the model wearing the clothes, when she/he is obviously disturbed healthwise, it steels the focus from the fashion being presented..
