Karl speaks really bad.

I'm shocked about what that one journalist /Lauren somewhat) says... But I am very impressed with the contra-thoughts of the others and of Natalia!

I know , I can never understand him well
yeah, this Lauren is ridiculous herself, it's so "smart" to compare a model with a flower

Ugh karl lagerfeld really disgusts me in this video babbling on like that.
This whole thin-model controversy stems back to the powerful designers like him.
Unless people like him change their shaded view on what to send down the runway, NOTHING is going to change. Only they have the power

thanks sweetrus! interesting video...
I love mary alice, she sounds so informed and sensitive about the topic, it's so nice to see someone from the industry talking about this subject so eloquently and realistically.. I feel bad for people like Karl and Ezersky.. it reminds me of those old politicians that sound completely off-base when they talk about their own country, .. they should just retire already, they completely ignore the problems of the current generation and obviously have no opinion or just a vague idea of how to respond to that, it's sad..

That video makes me sort of angry. Karl comes off as such a idiot, he doesn't know that the models aren't anorexic as much as someone else knows that they are. You can't assume but I honestly don't think that is even the issue, he is skirting the issue by saying that, its about promoting a healthy image to other girls by the models you choose & certain models CLEARLY do not look healthy, you don't have to be smart to know that.

I though Molly Sim's point about, the models fit in to the clothes the designers make is a good point, I mean if the designers didn't make size 0 and went for maybe sizes 2-4 or something less girls would feel pressure to loose.

& The whole 'dictating the way the artist should show thier work' thing is bull, such a lame point.

I cannot stand eurotrash Karl, argh. & Natasha Poly's legs & butt @ Cavalli were friggin scary! Yeesh...

I think this may help them eat less since they do it slower and enjoy their food more. Theres no way you can stay skinny though if you eat junk but just eat it slowly.

Best way to stay slim is so have an enormous workload, smoke and be stressed. Oh wait, that's being French. Sorry but I have two types of French relative/friends. One is pretty enormous. They love their food and love their lifestyle. They eat a lot of meat/cheese and drink a lot of wine. The other is quite delicate, fragile. They often travel long distances to work and work long hours. However they earn a lot of money and eat out at expensive restaurants because they don't have time to cook for themselves. Nearly all of my French friends smoke.

It's a sad fact that due to governments wanting food to be cheaper, poor people are generally meatier. A lot of them don't know how to cook and buy only cheap processed food. If you're wealthy you can eat out and select healthier fare.

Everybody says the Mediterranean diet is the best. I'd say Japan has much better fitness and overall health...maybe I just managed to meet chubby people during my travels but I couldn't say that people I met in the Med were slim...far from it...:x

Thank you very much for the video, Sweet_rus!! Do you, or anybody, have a video of Natalia's entire speech, by any chance?

I've also heard that in Italy and France, there is little to no "funny farming". In the US and Canada, animals are pumped full of steroids and other drugs to make them produce milk at a faster rate and of course pesticides ar eused in vegetables. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Medditerean countries take a more, natural organic approach to farming?
