you only lose your period for being thin with an ED

inform how body women work before wondering this kind of things

I really hate some of the comments here some people don't believe that some girls can be naturally thin and go an accuse them as anorexic edited for personal weight discussion

I don't go around accusing fat people to have problems with eating too much food

Everyone should be more carefully judging

mademoiselle, this poster is saying that many of these girls may have ed's. i know many models---- runway models. many lead unhealthy lifestyles since there is tremendous pressure to stay thin. most top models wear a 23/24 in jeans despite being 5.10. that is drastic. it is drastic for a grown woman to have 33 inch hips. edited i see the models wearing leggings in frigid temp instead of pants, i'm assuming, because most manufacturers do not make their size, except for children.

also most overweight people eat too much. that is a statistica truth. medical factors are not very common. big bones don't add up to 200 pounds.

exactly---- that is why people in this forum are saying most but not all.... drastic is how i say extreme, for extremely underweight.

these models usually look thinner in person. edited for personal weight discussion unless you know runway giirls, its hard to explain how skinny they are. industry people refer to them as aliens---cuz they look like aliens.

theyt are all much thicker than runway girls. they stopped doing runway---esp kk. daria only does special gigs. lily cole has staed herself, she is thicker thanmost high fashion girls.
i have meet anja, lily, vlada, juliana imai, and heather marks. edited for personal weight discussion the girls you listed do mostly campaigns--not catwalk.

Then Vodianova stood up, with her sad and enormous eyes, her beautiful wide face familiar from the cover of Vogue and ads for Calvin Klein. She began by quoting Oscar Wilde: “ ‘To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance’—a very wonderful and inspired saying. But I hope you will agree that no relationship comes that easy.

“I come from a poor background,” Vodianova told the carefully vetted crowd of fashionistas and their critics. Anna Wintour sat to her right, face concealed by the familiar bob. “I ate because I wanted to stay alive, and it never occurred to me to think of food in any other way.” In 2000, when she arrived in Paris at the age of 17, she discovered that her fellow models were obsessed with weight. “At first I kind of sneered, thinking that this would never affect me. But as I began working, I began paying attention to my body shape for the first time … Eating was secondary. But I found a lot of new friends who were living the same lifestyle, and things were far too exciting to worry about it.”

At 19, Vodianova gave birth to a son and quickly became skinnier than ever, impressing the fashion world. At five-nine, she weighed only 106 pounds, her hair was thinning, she was anxious and depressed—and she was a runway star with her first major advertising contract. After a friend confronted her, she sought help and got healthier, adding on a few pounds. But when she got up to 112 pounds, her agent sat her down: Designers were complaining she wasn’t as thin as she used to be. “I defended myself, saying it was crazy to consider measurements like 33-27-34 to be normal. I think because I was one of the girls most in demand it helped me to be able to forget the incident quickly. On the other hand, it makes me think that if I had been weak at the time, I can really imagine how it could have helped me endanger myself.”

Very much so. Thyroid problems can either cause a weight gain or loss.

most of america is overweight.. i have a hard time believeing most of america has a thyroid problem. I love all my buddies--but i will admit, most of the heavy ones eat a lot.

according to endocrineweb.com, up to 10percent in america have hypothyroidism. that is a VERY liberal estimate though.

First off, do not call my comment "dumb" seeing as I never mentioned an eating disorder. edited Do you really think that some of these girls today are naturally that thin. That's seriously a load right there. I cannot stand when thin girls go into huge tangents about how they hate people thinking they're anorexic. You know, if you're not, then ignore the comments because in the end the world really doesn't care if you are a size 2 or 12.

Isn't two-thirds of America overweight? And aren't 1 in 3 children overweight as well?

Is that right? Are the numbers I've used correct?
