Just last night I went out to eat in Boston and ordered a vegetarian spinach salad. The portion was HUGE! Three people could have eaten that salad.

I'd much rather support businesses that serve healthy food and good portions.

Sharing is a great option too. My friends and I do that a lot. And it's cheaper.

^It might also be noteworthy that according to the latest studies the healthiest weight for people over 40 is BMI 25-30. Which is the overweight range. So perhaps, it's not so bad for people's health after all...the problem is that a lot of overweight children/teens become obese or even morbidly obese adults.

It's kind of funny though, that piece of science didn't get much notice because, well, overweight isn't terribly attractive. There's often some sort of need to morally justify aesthetic preferences...

The girl in the "Then" picture is Donattella Versace's daughter, Allegra, who has battled anorexia for years.
The girl on the left. The "NOW" pic. Uhmmm…. Not quite Allegra.

Is it really not her, does anyone know? I think it could be, they look similar enough and she is wearing a lot of makeup in the 2nd pic. If it is her, then I'm glad she's on the road to recovery

I have to say though, the first thing I thought when I saw it was- what kind of insensitive moron photographs/publishes a shot of a recovering anorexic in a bikini

The most common factor in overweight people is the US is not medical.
It is they do not exercise!!!!
Most people in the US ( even the normal weight ones ) don't get enough exercise.

by the way, this is the latest picture of Allegra - at the Versace show in Jan 12, (the event the article mentions).

Don't know if that's really her in the bikini. My first thought was no way....but the eyes do look similar.

The hair colour looks diff though... unless it's just the lighting.
