i trhink most models are much thinner than actresses, and the few who are as thin as them are nicole ritchie or kate. basically, if reese wears the same size as a women 6 inches taller than her, she is much thicker---no argument against that. i think if anything, we naturally assume a model can't helpit, while actresses ar more like 'normal' women

I have never posted in this thread, but I am a regular reader. I thought I would bring to attention Jessica Stam, as of late. I really love her as a model, but here, she looks as if she has lost weight (here she is with DJ AM today).

DJ AM is notorious for his issues with weight (ironically the opposite issues than his ex-flame Nicole), so I hope he isn't gaining anymore.

As for the model-actress debate: a lot of celebs- stratch that, nearly all celebs- are big fashion fans, much bigger fashion fans then the everyday Americans who watch them. Even celebrity girls, namely the Olsens, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel Zoe, feel the pressure to look like models. In a trickling effect, girls and women want to look like those celebs. So models really are the problem- though indirectly. And even models feel the pressure to be thin from designers.

God, I was thinking the same thing; either that or he encourages the girls he's with to get skinny(er). I mean, Nicole actually put on a few pounds since she's hooked up with Joel. I used to think DJ AM was the opposite, but seeing that pic with Stam kind of puts things in a different perspective...
