DOCTORS fear Peter Andre could have been struck down by deadly brain disease MENINGITIS. Worried Jordan was at husband Peter's hospital bedside last night after doctors gave him a brain scan.
Peter, 34, underwent the test — and a barrage of others — as he battles to overcome a mystery illness.
Peter's representatives confirmed he was being tested for Meningitis.
A statement released this morning said: "Following recent tests on Peter Andre at the East Surrey Hospital, it is believed that Peter is suffering from suspected Meningitis.
"Peter was admitted last weekend, and at this time we do not have an expected date of discharge."
Heavily pregnant Jordan, 28, has been with him during his five-day hospital stay.

Pop star Peter has been fighting a mystery illness for two weeks.
He was rushed into hospital last weekend after Jordan dialled 999 and has been there every night since then.
Last night doctors were still working around the clock in a bid to discover the cause.
A pal of the star couple said: “Jordan is frantic with worry. Obviously she’s desperate to get to the bottom of what’s wrong.”
Jordan — expecting her third child in June — has kept a vigil at Aussie Peter’s bedside during his hospital stay.

The drama began when the pair were in America earlier this month, giving TV interviews.
Peter fell ill with a stomach complaint and was forced to spend a week in bed when they returned to their £2.5million home in Ockley, Surrey. But last Saturday his condition worsened and worried Jordan called 999. Peter, who has no history of illness, was rushed by ambulance to A&E at the NHS East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, where concerned medics put him on a drip.
Doctors discharged him next day, but he returned that night after another turn for the worse.
The singer — whose pop hits include Mysterious Girl and Flava — met Jordan on reality show I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here 3½ years ago.
They tied the knot in September last year and have amassed a multi-million pound fortune.
The pair are filming a fly-on-the-wall ITV documentary. But that has been put on hold until Peter makes a full recovery.

He and Jordan have a son, Junior, and she has a disabled son, Harvey, by soccer’s Dwight Yorke.

I have to admit their E! show is my new guilty pleasure.
He seems very sweet and I hope he gets well soon.
And best wishes to her too, I know it must be hard to be under lots of stress in her pregnant state.

I didn't know they had any children except Harvey....
was the show filmed before her second was born?

I always thought that if meningitis is caught early enough it usually isnt' a problem. There are so many factors though.. hope everything turns out well for them.

Meningitis is a really big killer here, mostly with kids. They get it and boom, a few hours later they're dead.

SICK pop star Peter Andre has been told he has MENINGITIS — after days of agonising uncertainty. Glamour girl Jordan’s husband was ill for two weeks before being diagnosed with the serious brain bug.
The pregnant model, 28, was spotted yesterday slipping through a hospital’s staff entrance as she dashed to Peter’s bedside.
She has been visiting him daily since he was admitted last weekend.
The Sun revealed yesterday that doctors had given Peter, 34, a brain scan — but it failed to find a problem.
Eventually a lumbar puncture at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, showed he had viral meningitis. It is less dangerous than bacterial meningitis, which can kill.
A close friend of the couple said: “Jordan has been sick with worry, but at least now they know what it is. Peter fell ill in the US, where they were doing promotion work for their fly-on-the-wall TV show. He flew home and took to his bed. On Saturday he collapsed and Jordan rang 999.

“Peter was weak as a kitten and was put on a drip. He felt better on Sunday and left, but relapsed and had to go back. He should be home in four or five days.”
Meningitis is an infection in fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

It is spread by sneezing, coughing or kissing — so Jordan is not allowed to touch Peter. The busty star, who has a son by Peter and another by footballer Dwight Yorke, is expecting her third child.
The NHS hospital said the singer’s condition was stable. Peter, whose hits include Mysterious Girl, met Jordan on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. They wed in 2005.
SUN Doctor Carol Cooper said: “Viral meningitis is pretty unpleasant. There’s no specific treatment. Painkillers, fluids and rest are needed. “Peter must take it very easy. Extreme tiredness, headaches and depression can continue for weeks.”

Jordan will speak her mind and good for her, whereas Peter is just so lovely and nice!
