I can't believe how pretentious Scott is. He should be more focused on getting quality back for his blog because it has gone down the drain lately. I personally don't find The Sartorialist relevant anymore and stopped following him although I used to be a fan.
I haven't looked in years on a regular basis. Maybe even before the book....

I'm glad to Know that Gabriel Byrne, you hear me, Gabriel Byrne, is not cool enough for Scott. Let's photograph another hipster, because at least with those it's all about the clothes and no substance, just how our Scott likes it.
He treats Garance likes she's some sort of disabled child and the worst of all she thinks she found a keeper , what a condescending Bastard, and least we forget he's not even good looking to compensate.
i know that i've never met him or her but doesn't he seem controlling and she seem just a tad submissive? not in an extreme way or anything but just in that "he's my man and i have to adoringly worship him" sort of way ..
(barfff)
Yeah, it's amazingly traditional, all considering ... I guess more or less what he meant when he said he couldn't be with a type A woman. (And apropos of nothing ... I couldn't be with a man shorter than me in heels, just sayin' )

Agree with most opinions....he´s become so obnoxious. And Garance, I like her a bit better but anyway. I stopped checking out TS long ago. He´s become predictable, like a spoiled rock star who used to be punk but now it´s all about cashemere and Frette.... And those interviews, his opinions about Garance.....gee boy....self absortion much?
I have a stupid question : do they make a-living just by occasionaly shooting campaigns, i mean, they seem to live such a wealthy life (all those travels, and buying a big appartment in New York cost A LOT of money). I know they sometimes shoot campaigns but it's not like they are Mario Testino !
I was although wondering the same about other bloggers who live that kind of jet set life, like BryanBoy or The Cherry Blossom Girl : where the hell do they get their money from ? It can not be only from blogging, i know they achieved very successfull websites, but it's not exactly facebook !
^ Good question! I really wondered myself. I mean people like Cherry Blossom Girl seem to be permanently on holidays, jetsetting from one beautiful place to another, wearing fabulous designer clothes/shoes/bags while doing it.
Kind of the same for Scott/Garance - though they seem to have a more legitimate career and are more involved in the fashion industry - still, how do they afford it?
^^Î guess they are invited to a lot of places. They came to argentina and they were CLEARLY paid to come, because they were really uninterested in taking pictures....I bet the publicity in their blogs is quite expensive these days, Because they have A LOT of traffic lately.

yes it makes sense
Well a friend just told me about a famous french blogger (not fashion though) who has signed a 6 000 euros / month deal with an advertising company, and the blog pagerank is 6, the same as Garance Doré and The Cherry Blossom (and the Sartorialist is even higher), so yes i guess the advertising + invitations, allow them that kind of lifestyle. Well whatever one think of their blog, in term of business it's well done !
^^
Indeed they are invited to places.
Also they get the advantages of freebies and stuff that is lent to them.
Besides the campaigns they shoot editorials, but dont underestimate their blogs as cash-machines! Their sites have bigger readerships than some smaller-market well known magazines, with thousands of visits a day, so no wonder labels are interested in placing pricey ads!
Think of people like Sussie Bubble, who had enough blogging projects and revenues so as to quit her previous job and blog fulltime! They all put a lot of effort and time into it. And of course each of them is talented in a different way.
both of them seem so annoying, him more than her though
and he s so short he should be with a woman his size. their relationship having a thread doesn t make sense to me.
