Alison Edmond - Stylist
From what I was able to find, Alison Edmond is Creative/Fashion director at Harper's Bazaar UK... doesn't seem to be all that much info on her...

Here is a little blurb from the magazine's web site about editor's choices...
from harpersandqueen.co.uk

Quote:
What shoes did you choose today and why?
Rochas grey leather ankle boots Ė because I love anything Edwardian in feeling, and theyíre also sexy.

And what bag?
The Mulberry Roxanne in snakeskin. I have to have a big bag Ė itís so useful, but also so chic and timeless in snakeskin.

What are you favourite shoe labels?
Christian Louboutin, Costume National, AlaÔa, Pierre Hardy, Ann Demeulemeester and Vivienne Westwood.

For bags?
Mulberry, Dries Van Noten, Gucci, Jamin Puech, Pauric Sweeney and Asprey for classics.

Heels or flats?
Both.

Favourite dancing shoes?
Old Yves Saint Laurent velvet strappy shoes or black Vivienne Westwood lace-ups.

Favourite shoe ever?
Black Jean Paul Gaultier canvas ankle boots with curved high heels that I was given in 1987 and wore for years.

Worst shoe disaster?
Some Prada mules I owned once cut my feet to shreds; and one pair of Manolos I bought looked great, but I could only walk in them if my husband held me up.

Most valuable shoe advice youíve ever been given?
Ankle straps just arenít flattering!

Favourite shoes for everyday wear?
Any kind of biker boots Ė preferably fitted ones.

Rule of thumb when buying shoes
Go for black Ė itís foolproof.

Rule of thumb when buying a bag?
Go big.

Define the perfect evening shoes
Comfortable, sexy, flattering and a conversation point, preferably.

Favourite weekend shoes?
Bare feet.

The key to good accessorising isÖ
complement, donít match.

Favourite up-and-coming accessories designer?
Alexandra Neel.

I really like the Erin Wasson by Alexei Hay editorial.. I figured I'd repost some of my comments

Though the color palatte in the editorial is exclusively black there is so much variety going on in the shapes, styles, and textures of the clothing so that every look is unique and interesting...
The other thing I like about the styling is that many of the looks seem very wearable... if you saw Erin Wasson walking down the street in one of them you--or at least I --would admire her style and the attitude and confidence with which she wears it
She looks cool and edgy without trying to hard or looking ridiculous..

It's difficult for me to choose a favorite look because I really like all of them

The Michelangelo di Battista ed is also really beautiful... I think the clothes are so romantic and I love that there is a theme so she really seems to be telling a "story" to a certain extent..

The styling of the hair and makeup is so dramatic and I love the way it compliments the whole thing.. everything seems cohesive to me.. which is great.

i don't love the fake lightning effects but I guess that ads to the drama...

I like these two eds because i think they show Edmond's versatility in a way... they are different but both have a certain type of drama to them.. i don't think i would have guessed that she was the stylist for both editorials and was pleasantly surprised when i realized that she was

i'm loving the shape and drape of a lot of those pants
maybe a little too over-accessorized in general but i like a lot of the looks...

Here's more information on Alison from her Wikipedia page for those who haven't read it: (I hope you don't mind me posting the rest of it kasper! )

Quote:
Alison Edmond was the Creative & Fashion Director of Harper's Bazaar UK from 1997Ė2010, her last issue being January 2010. She then moved from London to live in Los Angeles, and is now styling freelance editorially and for advertising, represented by The Wall Group. She remains Los Angeles Editor for Harper's Bazaar UK, and is also Ambassador for British Fashion in Los Angeles for The British Fashion Council.

Career
She grew up in the North East of England, and went to art college in Hull. She began her career in magazines in September 1986, hired by Anna Wintour as Art Coordinator of British Vogue, assisting then Art Director, John Hind. She moved in to the fashion department two years later under the editorship of Elizabeth Tilberis, and went from assisting Fashion Director Anna Harvey and Mens Editor Marcus von Ackermann, to being a Fashion Editor in her own right.

When Liz Tilberis moved to the US to edit Harper's Bazaar in 1992, Edmond followed her to the States, where Tilberis made her West Coast Editor of the magazine, based in Los Angeles. She lived there for five years, mainly styling celebrities for the magazine, including Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Val Kilmer.

Upon her return to London, she was appointed Fashion Director of Harper's & Queen in September 1997. When editor Lucy Yeomans joined the magazine in 2000, Edmond was promoted to Creative / Fashion Director. Edmond worked closely with Yeomans on the transition of Harper's & Queen to Harper's Bazaar as the revered fashion magazine it is today, and styled both the significant first covers with the name change - actress Cate Blanchett on March 2006, and model Georgia Frost in September 2007. She has styled almost one hundred covers for the magazine in her tenure, worked with most of the top photographers in the industry, and her style has become synonymous with the visual of the magazine. In May 2007, Harper's Bazaar received the top award at the PPA Awards and was named Consumer Magazine of the Year, beating Vogue, Grazia, Heat, Psychologies, and the Radio Times.

Edmond is also one of the best known celebrity stylists in the industry, doing personal styling for Gwyneth Paltrow and Thandie Newton amongst others, and has shot covers including Sienna Miller, Rachel Weisz, Liv Tyler, Naomi Watts, Kate Bosworth, Jennifer Connelly, Katherine Heigl, and Keira Knightley. She also works with Simon Cowell's record company Syco as Creative Consultant, mainly for singer Leona Lewis, with whom she has worked as Fashion Director on all shoots and videos since her launch in September 2007.

Family
Edmond is married to John Pearson, and has three children. In July 2009 they moved from London to live and work in Los Angeles.
