Would anyone be kind enough to translate "Le point de vue de Vogue" by Carine in post #170 --- I only have a half-baked understanding of what it means.
Do not follow a style, establish it .Do not follow trends, decrypt them.Love luxury and avant-garde because they're also exclusive.Claim that fashion is much more than just fashion : it is also a whole visual, cultural environment, a group of references, codes, signs on which the eyes gaze , in which our life passes and that we enjoy playing with.
To love fashion, because it is like life in itself, a permament process of mixing influences revisited within a perpetual sense of innovation. To love the ones who make it , that live with it, that make it theirs , that divert it , that dare push it to its limits, boundaries, excesses. All of this is extremely vogue.
That's not a very accurate translation but nevermind.

^it would be lovely to write better (my english is bad so i don't understand everything)
we are here focusing on her work @ vogue paris. and since she's editor in chief. we are focusing on her work into a fashion bible, on her direction at Vogue.
there's already a Carine Roitfeld thread so feel free to post overthere all the editorials you have of her ( from glamour to V etc.)
La joueuse aux jambes nues
