One somewhat amusing thing about both is how much bigger they are than their mothers (physically)...

Julia-Restoin-Roitfeld is a very intelligent and well dressed girl. She is fun and extremly well educated. Bee Schaffer is more like her mom. A traditional american girl that seems very arrogant and full of herself. Also, i do not know for sure, but i don't think that Julia at her young age is working for the French Vogue already. On the other hand, Bee, has her own magazine (TeenVogue) for which (surprise, surprise) she writes articles about (surprise, surprise) fashion. I guess that without her mom, it would be much harder to get that job. For me there is no comparison, Julia is the better one of these two. She is an elegant fashionista with great manners that knows how to treat other people.

Julia has a certain je ne sais quoi, much like I find her mother does. The fine distinctions of French style will trump any North American counterpart - And Julia just looks cool. period.

Really? I've always gotten the impression that Bee Schaffer is a very pleasant and well-behaved girl, unlike her mother's caustic self. (Although I really wouldn't know for sure, since I don't know her, obviously!)

Also, while Bee Schaffer contributes to Teen Vogue, I would hardly term it as her "[having] her own magazine" - you know? Obviously, she got the job easily because of her mom's position, but it's not just her - there are many other teen contributors to Teen Vogue who hail from influential, wealthy, socialite backgrounds. What I'm trying to say is that it's not as if Bee's the only one who got in because of her privileged background. So, no biggie there.

At least we don't see Bee Schaffer being an attention-seeking, trashy, obnoxious tart in the New York scene, unlike some other young socialites.

That said, I do think Julia Roitfeld looks sensational! Definitely edgier and more exciting than prim Miss Schaffer.
