she is so much cooler and more...somehow HUMAN than Anna Wintour. They have quite similar styles, in that, they're very refined and in fashion, yet not trendy, but I prefer Carine'e style...maybe it's just the fact that she actually SMILES in pictures

I do agree that Carine's and Anna's style is similarly refined, however, having seen them both in person their look is very different. Carine is more trendy and sexy, where is Anna does not dress sexy, but rather more traditionally. It could be the french style that Carine has going for her, but also she has more of an artistic background. I think they are both amazing women, but for me Carine's style is perfection.

I'm so angry , I can't use my father's scanner and I have two great articles about Carine , an old one from a U.S Vogue issue in which she talked about the evolution of her fashion style and described the content of her closet and another one which is an editorial that was inspired by her style (she was the editor of it and she chose her favourite type of clothes and such)...Anyway, I'll see what I can do to scan them . I'll just give a few infos : she uses the 'Opium' by YSL body cream, prefers simple lingerie (no lace and stuff like that) , she loves wearing a mini-dress over a t-shirt (that reminded me of fashionologie's blog entry in which she was commenting about that editorial where Gemma wore a dress over a t-shirt haha), and she also uses YSL eye liner 'dessin du regard' n°7...I've seen a picture of her bedroom , it's really minimalist and all white. On a sidenote, I love Emmanuelle Alt so much.

U.S Vogue (The Age issue) August 2001. The picture of her bedroom featured in the September 1996 issue of 'Vogue-Paris' (I still have it)...

I think Carine Roitfeld is at same time amazingly annoying and amazingly stylish.

U.S Vogue - August 2001 :

Vogue-Paris - September 1996 : Carine Roitfeld's bedroom/dressing room:

Her furniture and closets were designed by the English architect Chipperfield . Her clothes are categorized in several compartments : clothes for the day , clothes for special events/parties , t-shirts, jumpers , tops, trousers, accessories , swimwear, etc...An entire closet contains her shoes collection (her passion) , and another contains her ethnic clothes.

I'll see what I can do about the editorial (I've found some of the pictures on the internet but the quality is crap)...
