careful! it is true that she said she wouldnt like doing vogue US, but she has also made clear that she doesnt see vogue paris as her ultimate job. she said she took it because it was a challenge then, something new to try... she may consider if she was presented a better offer to do something new again.

IMO, American Vogue has sucked for quite some time now, and since I would love to work for the mag in the future, I would much rather be under the helm of Carine. I don't know if the big mag thing is for her, but regardless, US Vogue needs a major revamp.

I think old Carine is right on the whole british vogue thing it is sooo right everything is sooo stiff & controlled and sometimes there cover choices are so boring. I feel like there's a whole team of awe inspiring people their but no one brings it to the table enough. Makes me a bit sad

I just came from the 'Lauren Conrad' thread (she is just negative ranking on ANY style scale) so I was badly in need of some Carine (completely and delightfully off the charts) to improve my world view. Thank you everyone for keeping up new postings.

I would be waiting at the airport with flowers and balloons if Carine ever decides to cross the pond and join US Vogue. I mean come on look at us: We Los Angeles people alone are getting it SO wrong these days (seriously, Lauren Conrad, Katie Holmes???), yet we are somehow 'influential' because of this celebrity-obsessed culture (yes, Anna- you have been a huge culprit in this downfall).

Sorry for the ranting and all the Lauren Conrad dissing, but as long as I've been fashion-crazed I have never felt this uninspired and dejected.

Carine, I you but we are in a global economic crisis and a Paris Vogue does set me back more than double the US one (hint, hint), so I implore you to consider.

Perfectly stated. My personal aesthetic is much closer to that of French Vogue, so I would love to see something I can relate to here in the US. I don't know if Carine would be the answer, but I'm just really not impressed with what US Vogue has been publishing for the past year or so.
