Fashion editor who earned the enmity of the houses
Hello~

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was watching fashionTV with Jeanne Becker and she gave a recap of the biggest gossip to slosh itself over the industry in the first decade of the 21st century. Jeanne mentioned the name of a Fashion editor who wrote a tell all book lambasting the current fashion industry for destroying the concept of luxury and the art (atleast the recap presented the book as such, I'm not exactly sure what the authors specific arguments were). I, cannot for the life of me remember who is the author. Please, could someone direct me to this oracle?

^Maybe it was The End of Fashion by Teri Agins.

Alas No...
No, unfortunately, it isn't 'The end of fashion'. I loathe to be racially conscious but the author was a white female and as we know Ms Agins is of African-origin. The show had a shot of the book cover and it was a fast food meal covered in some fashion monogram- Chanel, I believe.

Again, thank you for your help.

Even though she seems to place Louis Vuitton and Hermes on a pedestal, from memory.

Both are great books, but I enjoyed Teri Agins' more, and I think it added more to the discussion of the fashion industry than the overhyped Dana Thomas book.
