love his work, met him in berlin in march. he was talking about photography (a public conversation) it was really interesting!
but for sure, he does absolutely not care about, what others might think about him very self-confident. (sometimes I thought a bit to much...)
LOL the most funny part was, when the very confused german-vogue journalist, called him HELMUT LOL (really) instead of Juergen....

I just did my photo homework, I used Juergen and Paolo Roversi as two photographers who use color and light differently. Does anyone own the Juergen Teller book by Taschen press? The bookstore near my house has one copy. I already own the MJ book and Go-Sees.

I don't want to be negative but I really can't get into his work. I love his philsophy, i love where he's coming from, but I just don't like his work that much.

I love that shot of the lady with the baby in the woods. Wow...that is AMAZING. I REALLY liked Go Sees. But I just can't see what the fuss is about him.

Sorry, I really don't want to be negative! Just my thoughts.

contiguos, i own the taschen book - since back 1997 -lol! funny, cause i just pulled it out to look up for a referrence pic of kate i needed. i leafed through it, and i still love it. so many beautiful, pictures, "vulnerable" as someone said before, and strong and rebellious at the same time, but also very 90ies.
his new work reminds me so much of terry richardson, what in my eyes isn't a good thing to say about jürgen teller...

Came to London from Germany in 1986. He initially photographed celebrities, and then quickly graduated to shoots for youth style magazines such as The Face and i-D. He is regarded as one of the most influential of contemporary fashion photographers.
