Lachlan was born and raised in Australia.After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies, he spent the following 12 months working within the film industry and on his own short films.
Lachlan became increasingly involved in photography, both on-set and on various personal projects.This led to his decision to return to Universty-gaining a Degree in Photography at one of Australia's most reputable courses.
In 2001, he relocated to London, and after spending next few years assisting various high profile fashion photographers,he went out on his own in 2004.
Lachlan is now a regular contributor to Japanese Vogue,British Vogue,Vogue China and i-D magazine,also working for Arena Homme+,POP and Dazed and Confused.He is currently collaborating with a select group of Fashion editors,including Jonathan Kaye,Jane How,Nancy Rhode and Sarah Ellison.
Lanchan's growing list of commercial clients include;Louis Vuitton,Burberry,Kert Geiger,Paul Smith Fragrance and Aveda.
I suppose his work is very 'now'. Doesn't intrigue me but from an aesthetic point of view it looks really nice, esp the studio shoots with the aquarium lighting.

Thanks for posting this one,its simple but beautiful.And i agree with you,his work is not very diverse,but it might be due to the fact that he started building his reputation in the last few years,with UK Vogue editorials mostly.Hopefully he gets to spread his wings more in the future.
