I've been aware of Lula's existence for over a year now and up until a few months ago I had only seen scans of editorials online or skimmed through tangible copies that a friend owned. I decided to pick up the most recent issue back in March and voraciously read it from beginning to end. I tried to recall the last time I had been that inspired by a fashion publication but my memory completely failed me. The aesthetic! The articles! The design! There was no flaw I could find; in fact, I caught myself grinning more than once as I would turn a page and discover a photograph of a sunset, an Lolita-esque editorial where the models clutched such books as Hiroshima Mon Amour. Needless to admit I was beyond curious as to who the brain behind this magazine was. I began reading interviews on Leith Clark and found everything I learnt to be extremely unsettling. I'm also from a suburban town in Canada (half an hour from her own), an aspiring (freelance) stylist, have been contemplating dropping out of school in Toronto, and ultimately, in the mere future, I wish to end up in London and garner an affiliation in one way or another with the publications I passionately admire. Miss Clark's life path so much mirrors what I desire mine to be and she drives me to achieve that. Now I'm a bit less skeptical and not as pessimistic about the seemingly impossible notion of getting out of here.

^Treefingers I totally understand what you mean about Lula magazine and Leith. I remember seeing and hearing about Lula for ages before I finally picked up an issue when I was in San Francisco because I couldn't find it my small town. I swear, Lula changed my life. It inspired me like no other magazine had and also made me realize why I love fashion. As for her humble beginnings it's nice to actually hear about someone who made a name for herself without having a lot of connections. It gives the rest of us hope!

Also, some new images with her friend Kirsten Dunst in London. The first two was at taken outside the club The Box the third at Wimbledon.
