I'll probably never get tired of their collective creativity and approach. I like the element of caprice that's always been consistent in their style. I think Penelope Cruz's editorial along with Gaga's editorial are the least bit impressive among their recent work aside from that everything else retains the Mert & Marcus touch - vividly elegant and trenchant.

^ I think Penelope's and Lady Gaga's editorials could've been better had they been longer. I feel like these US magazines never give their cover stars long stories that develop into something special. Four or five pages is too short to really do anything special. Not like the long VP editorials which are just gorgeous.

Not like anyone's interested, but this black and white gothic style that they've been doing quite heavily lately (Love, Vogue Paris, etc) seems to be taken directly from Irina Ionesco. It's great of course, but in general they seem to adopt a lot of other artists' styles into their own.
