Actually, I am always very interested to find out the inspiration (or source of copying in this case) behind shoots. I googled her work and you are right, some of Kate's pics from Vogue Paris feel like exact copies of her work.

^It's indeed interesting to know. Now we can add her to a very long list of photographers M&M are inspired by.

inspired - it is a politically correct replacement of a copycat.

they could be 10 times professionals, but they would never get such powerful energy and unique vision as Newton did, such academism as Mapplethorpe, such glam surreality as Guy Bourdin, such pervercy as Steven Klein...
and, btw, what they produces is a total fashion photography. i mean they are trying too hard to seem artsy, but in fact they will never be.. while almost all their "teachers" were working for fashion (except Mapplethorpe), but comsidered now as an artists (maybe, except Meisel)

of course they have a seductive visual style but that's all.
Personally I don't like this at all.
It's unthinking photography and doesn't require
a great deal of photographic skill.
But then, that's pretty true of many
of the 'new' young talents in photography today.
as Fabien Baron said in a recent interview
'They do their own thing and listen to their gut'...

They not only copied legends photographers, also photographers og now as Sims, Inez & Vinoodh, Craig McDean, i think they have a very strong visual power but I do not think it right all the time for inspiration in ta work performed.
