Roversi's a good photographer, but I'm starting to think he's a bit overrated. The wispy, romantic, high contrasty polaroid look isn't original and seems like all he does. His compositions aren't anything special and he has no connection with his subjects. If he's interested in doing good portraiture, he should pick non-fashion models with more expressive faces or at least use more interesting fashion models. some of the models he uses like Gemma and stella tenant are totally dead in front of the camera.

To be fair he is a master of color, and he's so much better than somebody like steven meisel... but he also pales in comparison to avedon, for example.
