This woman is truly an amazing entity. She is inspirational. She is able to refocus and revision her application depending on the collection, seamlessly. Her cheery manor is quite delightful and down right lovable. She really has reinvented makeup and is unabashedly my favorite makeup l'artiste. One can only wait to be graced with her presence and knowledge. Beauty and Glamour is alive once again.
I loved the make-up Pat did for Gucci F/W 2004, just stunning
If only I could re-create the look myself, but I suppose it would never look anything like Pat's

hey. im doing a piece on pat mcgrath. But im having trouble finding her bio. I need to do like her date of birth, where she grew up, what inspired her to become a makeup artist, how long she's been in the industry ... & so on. It'd be great if you guys could help me out! Oh & i already googled. theres not much on her. A lot of her work but very lil actual information
In Pat's words for a style.com video: "For Viktor and Rolf its super chic, elegant, and very feminine, 60's and 50's wing on the eyelids. A very very dark and constructed brow and then we have contouring on the cheekbones, fresh matte skin, and pale pale mouth"
Pat's own words for a style.com video: "The look for dior is madison avenue gothic and new york chic, rock and roll. We have black eyebrows, red burgundy eyes, purple beige mouths, and natural skin as well. But its uh very daring, very uptown."
Pat's own words for a style.com video: “Today at Valentino were doing a strong red lip, a little bit deeper than the usual and were doing a deep black under the eye in a wing. Mr. Valentino really wanted the girl’s eyes to be in a wing, so it’s a little bit of a factory girl also because you know; we also have Prince from Baskiat so it’s a little bit of a modern take of a Valentino factory girl.”
Pat's own words for a style.com video: “For Louis Vuitton, very natural skin with a little bit of concealer wherever they need it, fresh powder all over the face and a little blush. Martin wanted the girls as they are.”
Pat's own words for a style.com video: “We have lots of black pencil, lots of black eye shadows. Olivia wanted the girls to look, basically, like chimney sweeps but also a young drive of cool girls and it’s black on black on black, no grey, no weak spots just super strong."

I can never figure out why she never wears any makeup herself... someone please enlighten me
She probably hates makeup on herself....too time consuming and she puts makeup on other people so often that when it comes to her...it's like....whatev! I can understand how she feels....but she should wear a little 'something' on her face. I think it's a bit more professional looking.
