Rachel Zoe and her Style Clones

rachel zoe is getting a ton of publicity for making over young star's style ie. nicole richie, lindsay, jessica simpson. But am I the only one who feels that the stars she dresses, dont even have their own original style anymore? that there style is so alike and manufactured, its like they are barbies and all you have to do is buy ouitfits for them; and then suddenly they are 'style icons'?

^I completely agree with you. Mischa Barton is the latest Rachel Zoe to emerge. Prior to that, she was sort of experimenting and yeah sure, she was getting it wrong sometimes but at least she was trying different things. Now she's just become another Nicole Richie lookalike with the Chloe paddington, the hippyish tops and of course, Nicole Riche stuck to her hips.

I think it's awful. But you know what? They're not talented, so it all evens out. Their style is as good as their talent.

rachel zoe styles them nicely at times, but they have completely lost their individual styles and that's a shame. i miss nicole's and lindsay's girly colorful outfits. now they're all faux-boho-chiced out and look like crap most of the time, at least candidly.

Mischa was a client of Rachel's before Nicole just to let you know. There is a Rachel Zoe thread already if anyone would like to visit it. It's another section here though so just do a search.

You're completely right, of course. Lindsay Lohan looks exponentially worse since she hooked up with Rachel & went blonde. Before, she just looked like a girl from the wrong side of the tracks with bad hair & makeup. There's something really Stepford about her new bleached look. Rachel herself doesn't look cheap, but some of her clients sure do ... now if she can un-cheap Lindsay, into the stylists' hall of fame she goes.

ditto, most of their outfits include these items:

-balenciaga bag
- cowboy boots
- big beaded necklaces
- flowy tops
- destroyed denim
- flats
- messy hair

add more if you like
