Who are you going to be styling for the Golden Globes this year?


Rachel Zoe: Jennifer Garner, Mischa Barton and Portia de Rossi.

Have you made all the decisions, or are they still works in progress?


You know what? As of about 20 minutes ago, everyone's finalized.

What fashion trends are you seeing this year?
Simplicity. Glamour. A subtle sexiness.

How about color?



Strong colors. A combination--still quite glamorous.

Not a return to basic black?


On my girls, probably not. But I think you will see a lot of black this season.

What type of jewelry styles can we expect?


I think were going to see a lot of colored stones in the jewelry. I also think that we've said goodbye to the chandelier earring, obviously, and it will be more about a little bit of a subtle earring, but a lot [of focus] on the necklace.

Any designer trends you've spotted?


I think it's going to be a classic awards season: you'll see the European designers, and I think you'll see more downtown designers, like a Marc Jacobs or a Chloe.

Is there a great breakout designer this year?


I want to say Monique Lhullier. I don't know if we still consider her a breakout, but I do think her presence is going to become more [prominent] in the coming year.

How to get the Rachel Zoe look
Hair: Cut and color by Byron Williams at Byron Studio in Los Angeles

Makeup: Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil in Tanzania and Gold Coast Bronzing Powder, both at Sephora stores

Jeans: Rock & Republic -- cut off at the ankle, size 25

Jewelry: Anything gold from Kaviar and Kind on Sunset Boulevard, preferably layered pieces, but "keep only one item big"

Undergarments: Go braless

Exercise: None

Food: "The Stress Diet" ("If my life would settle down, I think I could put on some weight," Zoe says).

Shoes: Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Balenciaga. No flats.

For dressing up: Anything Grecian and 1970s looking, preferably vintage Halston or YSL. Nothing above the knees ("I've got chicken knees," she says).

Haute Inspirations: "I'm inspired by couture," she muses. "It all trickles down from the runways and affects what people are wearing on the street."
Shoe Swoons: "Right now, my favorite thing is my one-of-a-kind Sergio Rossi pumps. I want to wear them every day."
Shop Like Zoe: "I'm a huge vintage fan, so I love to shop at L.A.'s Resurrection, Decades, Satine--and in New York, Kirna Zabête."

Rachel Zoe's clients often wear things from her closet... designers give her tonse of stuff. I recently read an article about her... don't remember where. But it was talking about how her clients will come over and get stuff, and once Lindsay Lohan came over to pick something up and ended up staying for hours trying on outfits.

She is a talented stylist, I like what she puts together, but the fact that the major trendsetters don't even have the sense of style, their stylist does, is not cool.

Can I ask how many of you would like to be dress by her. I have nothing against her but personally I wouldn't. I guess it's because a lot of the girls (Lindsay & Nicole) look very similar. Don't get me wrong I think those two look great sometimes especially Nicole.
