From myself id like to add, what he was an apprentice of Nick Knight (like Craig McDean, Elaine Constantine, Solve Sundsbo) As for me- he`s the most talented (but less worked) of all Knight assistants. And he`s one of rare photographer, which photoshop and retouching i could forgive ))(in the same row as Nick Knight). His style and desire to start to work as Knight assistant was inspired by Jil Sander campaign with Christy Turlington circa 94-95. Sean loves its dark vibe and you could totally see its resemblance with Ellis works.
He often contributed to The face, Numero (early issues- since 1999 till 2002), I-D, Paris Vogue, sometimes- for Nippon, UK and US Vogue.
Campaigns such as Plein Sud- for many years, Exte, Patrick Cox, Joop etc...In The face magazine he often contributes with Isabella Blow- she works with Ellis very often. Now he doesnt work that much- he is more into making movies, directing. But he has a photosession in recent Numero Tokyo and a series of advertising for Max Factor feaut. Carmen Electra (2006-2007).
