I think when he's able to create the kind of images and shoots that he wants as opposed to being constrained and forced into doing the more commercial or 'safe' editorials in US Vogue, then he truly is the best living photographer. His work with Vogue Italia is always beautiful, edgy, and creative because he is able to create the shoots that he wants.
