I love all the photographers threads...so will add a few of my own favourites...I like quite a lot of Vincent Peters' work, but can't seem to find any of his best online, so will try to scan some if I can...
I love the atmosphere in the first set of photos, but I don't think the model was right...or maybe it's just her hair. I think a different model would have made them truly fantastic.
thx for the pics stilista...not familiar with this guy's work...is he based in london?...
who is he shooting for?...do you know what agency he's with...?
it's nice to see newer work...
i'm always wonering where the next crop of photographers is...
so many of them come and go...

He's with Art Partner and is based in London and NY.
He has done campaigns for : Celine (you'll know the ad immediatel..below) Bottega Veneta (Katie Grand worked with a lot) Joop,
Miu Miu and Yves Saint Laurent.
and the magazines he's shot for include - French, Italian, British Vogue, Arena, Dazed and Confused, The Face, L’Uomo Vogue, Numero and Ten Magazine.
thanks for the info stilista...he seems to work more in europe...i guess he's better known over there...that's often my problem...i like european photographers and magazines better than their more commercial american counterparts...
that celine ad is pretty old, no?...i love tasha tilberg...is that her?...
i think i agree with you...don't really like his taste in models all the time...i do think some of the pics would be better with different girls...

I wasn't that familiar with him until someone mentioned his name about a year ago and sent me a link to his work - I immediately recognised the stuff he'd done (Celine, Kylie, 10 etc) but had no idea it was him.
Do you think European photographers tend to have a more whimsical/romantic style whereas US photographers are a bit slicker/sexier? I think there seems to be a whole batch of Swedish/German photographers (Vincent Peters is also German) who are doing great work..don't know why but they all seem to be coming out of the woodwork from those countries recently.
thank you for the interesting thread, stilista! his name sounds familiar but then i didn't recognize any of the pictures. where in germany is he from, do you know?
I don't know where in Germany he was born and he has such a popular name it's hard to find any info out on Google...but I think he's 33, so he must have been shooting fairly high profile campaigns from quite a young age.
oh...is he german?...
that explains his taste in girls a bit...
i think europeans have a different aesthetic in general than americans...and are more open to new ideas...i don't think there is such a 'formula' over there...new ideas are encouraged and embraced...creativity is valued more...
whereas here...it's really about making money...
everyone really sucks up to advertisers here and it's understandable...they are trying to stay in business...but the level of creativity often suffers as people are afraid to take risks or lose advertisers...
so i think a lot of great photographers base themselves in europe because there are more creative outlets there...
i think it's a combination of things...
