A very talented stylist with a creative eye, Yasmine is the fashion Director of the Style Supplement of the newspaper Liberation as well as being part of the team at Purple Fashion magazine.
She has also worked with Mixte, Japanese Vogue, ID, L’Officiel.
She recently worked on the new formula of the monthly magazine Isa, rethinking the fashion and creating its new upscale identity.
Yasmine has worked as consultant on collections, shows and brochures for designers such as Lacoste with Christophe Lemaire, Issey Myake with Naoki Takisawa, Bernhard Willhelm, Michel Vivien, Gaspard Yurkievich.
Yasmine studied fashion at the Studio Bercot in Paris and then moved to London where she worked for Vivienne Westwood for a number of years designing the ‘red label’ collection as well as underwear.
she just has this way of juxtaposing mundane,natural almost anti-fashion ideas(ŕ la Ann Sofie Back style)with something fantastical and romantic. she really has created her own distinctly quirky voice...much in the same sense that inge grognard has been able to do with make-up.
^but then you see her collaborations with bernhard and gaspard--both distinctly different of course,but there's a whimsy shared between them and you kind of see her own exuberance shine through as well.
I wasn't familiar with her work before I saw this editorial. I'm absolutely in love with it. I've been looking at it almost
everyday since it was first posted in the magazine forum. I find it so intriguing and mysterious.
