It's terribly cliche. In fact, its SO cliche that it becomes a little kitsch.

Plus, I don't see what a Vogue Cover would do for her other than give people the impression that shes 'not serious' or overly concenred with her image.

I'm pretty sure that it does no favors for both camps. Having Michelle Obama on the cover of Vogue US would SURELY infuriate many of its readers who endlessly complain about the lack of models etc.

^ Exactly, imo vogue should only use models. You don't see celebritys walking down the runway in designer clothes. Well unless imo it's a tacky show

It makes me so angry when people like Michelle Obama and other celebs might/star on high fashion magazine cover.

Why would it be any more ridiculous than Hilary Clinton being on the cover of US Vogue? Which she was. Michelle Obama most likely will get her Vogue cover but IMO it isn't going to happen immediately as I said in my previous post.

And on another note... Celebrities have certainly walked the runway for designers during the collections. Sharon Stone for Valentino & Madonna for Gaultier immediately come to mind.
