Though I wonder if the final decision will see that handwritten font used for the VP cover.

Speaking generally about covers -

I know VP used that style when M/M were part of the package, but in 2009, so many magazines are using that style... It's rapidly becoming ubiquitous, and for what purpose? Are handwritten fonts supposed to foster the impression of a magazine being more intimate and personalised? Because that's blown to bits by the cover shot usually being the nth repetition of some celebrity.

I am becoming tired of seeing these computer-generated pseudo-rebellious scrawls over the front of magazines, I might as well start lifting a biro and doing the job myself. Though I cannot be held responsible for what words I might use...

According to the VP magazine date table MMA posted a couple of days ago, the material deadline for the April issue is February 20th and the material deadline for the May issue is March 23rd. Considering the CNN camera crews didn't start filming Carine until the middle of the NY shows, which began February 13 and ended the 20th, the idea that the cover could be for the April issue is a stretch.

Oh yea, thats right, definietly not April then, this makes me excited, because at least we will get one more model cover before that one then.

^I hope so! Hopefully a newer model too. I think Sigrid Agren deserves a cover. Or maybe Edita V. Usually the newer model cover girls have been featured in previous issues, so if a model does cover, Edita V. has a chance. But I can never guess lol. They always surprise me!

I think the VP cover is for May because in the past VP has usually put movie stars on their May cover and the contents of the May issue usually has a lot of cinema inspired content. I think it has something to do with the Cannes film festival being in May.

I'm glad Scarlett is on the cover instead of Kira Knightly

I'm also thinking that it is for the May cover because May 2007 was Sophie Marceau and May 2008 was Julianne Moore. BTW, Carine looks great in that Balenciaga. Any news for VP or VR April?

What is with Vogue always messing up the shape issue? With last year's King Kong incident...and this year they go with "real women have curves" and don't show ANY OF BEYONCE'S CURVES. ANNA PUT DOWN THE CRACK PIPE.

Scarlet pic looks beautiful in that mockup. It's quite different from the reguler studio shot that VP always did. And the model is lying down.
