Hopefully at most she is only being photographed for a short feature. Or remember that rumor she was shooting for Vogue, but it was actually only an ad that ran in Vogue?

This woman became famous because of a sex tape... Please, don't do it, Vogue...

There will be a lot of cancelled subscriptions if Kim's plastic face appears on the cover. I honestly feel like her being on the cover would be the true signal that Vogue is classless and has taken a final turn for the worse. When a porn star can get the cover is it really prestigious anymore?

I can see both sides of this. Anna features socialites all the time and the only thing they have going for them is the fact that they were born into a rich family. I mean how is Ivanka Trump really better than Kim when it comes down to it? Is it because the Trump name has more prestige? Is it the sex tape? They're both only Vogue worthy because of their family name and Vogue has celebrated that rich and talentless for ages. Kim won't be the first and she won't be the last.

On the other hand I don't think Kim is suitable for the Vogue audience and I wish they'd stop trying to make her happen.

Even if Kim did shoot for Vogue, I doubt its for the cover.
But if its true...seems like anyone can get a cover these days. I can't wait for my one!

kate upton, kim kardarshian.... US Vogue has lost much of its prestige. Anna Wintour should be fired asap!

Anna Wintour needs to go

I mean when was the last time she produced something good/epic?!??

Anna is one of the most overrated people in fashion
She is only big because of her iconic moody weird personality & being editor-in-chief of US Vogue

I can see what you're saying in regards to social leaders being a prime feature for Vogue, but I'm not sure Ivanka is the best person to compare to Kim Kardashian. Ivanka has really built a credible business for herself, that's seperate from her father. Granted, I'm sure her father offered a great deal of help along the way, but I think there is a real work ethic instilled in her.

For me, peole like Caroline Seiber and LSD might be better examples for comparison. They are certainly not setting the world on fire.

I find these comments about Anna needing to go/she's only iconic because of her personality just flippant.

She has lasted this long because e she has been able to make the Vogue brand very profitable and has nurtured new designers that've become leaders in the fashion industry.

In all honesty, if Anna does put Kim on the cover then it is what it is. Hell, even Paris Hilton has gotten a Vogue cover x2 (Paris and Turkey) and Nicole Richie has landed Vogue Italia.

I don't care about Kim, but I don't hate her somehow. I don't care about US Vogue either. I'd love to see how her cover would turn out. At least she looks nice.

It's about time Vogue challenges itself and step out of the box. Kim has put some sort of cultural imprint on our society and there's nothing more modern than being a self indulgent, social media whore. Lucky has even revamped their whole magazine based on that notion.

Hell, she could make a lovely June (Swim) or April (Shape) cover by Mario.

^ What social imprint has she put on our society? Please defend that argument, because I'm simply appalled by it! What has Kim Kardashian done or achieved that hasn't been previously done by the likes of Paris Hilton.etc And where is Hilton now? Exactly where Kim will be in few years, not even worthy of a mention. So Vogue putting her on the cover would be an enormous lapse of judgment!

I am all for them rocking the boat, but some standard has to be there, because US Vogue is still the most prestigious luxury magazine in the world. (In fact they just did step out of the box with the Feb cover girl!) And their cover choices have to reflect that. To be on Vogue still means something, its a sign of approval of your life choices, your career, and you as a woman! Not to mention you have to appeal to the Vogue reader with your story, struggles, success.etc None of the credits she has.

Yes Vogue was created to cover High Society, and many of them have done vile things, but never with a camera crew in tow! While Elle and Bazaar were putting Hilton. Kim.etc on the cover, Wintour maintained the level of exclusivity to her magazine so far. It is the reason people care, and are upset by this rumor. Ivanka Trump is well educated, accomplished business woman, without a single scandal to her name, so we shouldn't even compare!

Personally been buying every single issue of US Vogue for the last 13 years, and been around the title since birth, thanks to fashion conscious mother, and two older sisters. But i assure you if she is ever to grace their cover, i wont lose sleep or cry over it (have no interest in Kim, but dont hate her guts like many people either), i simply will not purchase that issue!

That said, i dont believe for a second the shoot is for the cover, i still believe in Wintour and Vogue team, its most likely a feature for the April issue, its content is being shot now.

One can't ignore that she represents what is happening in society right now. The majority of the Western World is fixated on reality television, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. and she is at the center of it. People have the choice to ignore her, but they don't (and for some reason, can't).

It's funny, because I understand both sides of the argument. I'm not someone who goes out of my way to follow her, but when she's on a cover or if there's a picture of her wearing something, I feel compelled to look.

She's an enigma and that's her appeal - a rubik's cube that no one can solve.

Kim in a way represents a new version of the american dream. Instead of working hard in a traditional workforce, she (and her family) decided to build a personal brand through television, tabloids, and social media. I understand why people have an adverse reaction to her, but at the end of the day, she's created something that I could never do and for that she is unique.

^An "enigma" is the last thing I'd describe Kim Kardashian as. Her entire life is documented on TV or in magazines.

Her mother built the family brand by leveraging off her daughter's sex tape. If it weren't for Kim Kardashian's relationship with Kanye West, they would've started their fading into obscurity right about now.

^^ But all of those "values" you mention, and the road of her infamy, is something far more suited for Us Weekly, Cosmopolitan, GQ or any other number of men's magazines were i suppose she has a wider audience.

She makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for Vogue!

And i wouldn't claim she "represents what is going on in society right now", most likely a very alienated part of it. In fact there is nothing complicated or unique about her celebrity, its been done time and time again, and in a far more respectable fashion.

As a luxury buyer, when i see something on her, i instantly dont want it, have no desire to own it! No matter how hard Kanye (or Tisci, Carine.etc) tries and sells her as a Style Icon, its a no buy from me!

I do understand that you are intrigued by her, as are many, I'm sure! But for me in order to take you seriously as a personality, there has to be a road well traveled, and proof that you learned from your mistakes. A reinvention is possible for all of us, somehow i doubt that is what she wants. But if she achieved something meaningful like Olsen Twins.etc then maybe i would give credit where its due, but so far the representation is far too vulgar, for any magazine let alone Vogue. And it would hurt them greatly!
