I just saw somewhere that Britney Spears is going to be on the cover of W for the September Issue. Can anyone tell me if thats true or not?

WHAT!?!?! If that's true, I can't wait to see it! I do love Britney. And she needs a huge comeback to the magazines. Everything I've seen her in lately has been toned down and boorrrrring. I'd love to see her all sexed up and naughty in the pages of W. It would be awesome if they did a humongous Madonna/Klein-esque photo story.

Britney did a cover before for W and I didn't mind it - if they photoshop her into looking superhuman and get her to wear something interesting, it might be OK.

I remember that cover with the chains! She looked phenomenal! I don't think I'd mind a Steven Klein-shot Britney extravaganza. Maybe with some exotic animals, lots of short tight dresses. It could be promising!

Lara is on the cover this month so I am content at this pint. We'll have to wait another 12 months for a model cover but 1 is better than nothing.

She's made a comeback with her tour, but I think she needs to make a HUGE comeback to the public eye. And I think a grand photospread with her looking hott and sexy in every shot may propel her even further back into the public eye. People need to be reminded of how glamorous she can be.
Or maybe something tongue-in-cheek, like her restaging all of her crazy past moments, but dressed in fabulous clothes and looking flawless (photoshopped, of course). That would be great! If any celebrity needs the Steven Klein photo-makeover, it is Britney!

We have been wondering what magazine she'd do her 'comeback' cover for... it felt like it would be Vanity Fair, but if she does W, it probably means there won't be much of an article to go along with the images.

She did a comeback in Rolling Stone, but it was an epic failure. I'd love to see her do a glamorous fashion comeback in W. But you're right tigerrouge, usually the profiles in W are generic and uninformative.

she's made a comeback with her tour? that is new to me. most who have seen her concerts said it was garbage. She isn't back yet IMO ( and frankly think her she can't at this point).

Britney shot with Elle a few months back. And had an "accident" because of that time of month. Does anyone else remember that rumour? I have a feeling they will use her for September Elle but no idea about W. Kate Moss was rumoured but so was Emma Watson for August and we all got a suprise.
