^In times of crisis, I think a lot of these magazines are forgetting their identities and trying too hard to cater to certain audiences. That is the obvious answer as to why Anna would all of the sudden drastically alter things. I think she may finally be giving in and letting others dictate what her magazine looks like. And by others, I mean the European editors who are always 3 steps ahead of a good portion of the American glossies.

A little change went a long way at Vogue- the magazine got a face lift and a bit of Botox. But it now sounds like they are going for the full body transplant. And, like in the world plastic surgery, too much adjustment can be destructive to a magazine as well !

I wouldn't expect any dramatic changes.

I like US Vogue the way it is. Thats why I buy it.
But I think a few more A-List photographers and models should improve it.

Yeah. I mean, what that blurb says is basically just that there'll be a new set of models - a change that is gradually taking place already (it's always changing anyway, just slower than at other magazines) - and some new photographers that will hopefully bring fresh ideas. It doesn't mean that everyone else will get kicked out, and I'll believe this new "unpredictable" Vogue when I see it

I think it's about time there was a new set of girls in US Vogue, with the magazine nurturing them as their 'own', giving them the chance to develop through regular editorials and even the occasional cover. But they should be girls who have something special to give over the long-term, rather than whoever's hot and hyped.

Apparently its not true, The Cut got the reps statement:

Contrary to these rumors, it looks like Vogue will remain unchanged. A spokesman for the magazine called the Imagist's reports a "fabrication."

^That just makes me think there's something too that afterall. Why else comment such a vague fleeting rumor?

I think TI was just exaggerating ongoing changes and that rep had no clue what "revamp" they were talking about.

The Independent today, which has a big spread on The September Issue film states that Vogue's September issue 2009 will be 425 pages, compared to last year's 800. Just thought that was an interest piece of informatio.

Darn recession.
