Hello everyone, I've been dying to know more about this publication (background, history etc) and more importantly where can we get a copy of it!! Is it still being published? Here is the only info I got:

The issue with Natalia on the cover was out in 2006, and it was the 15th and last issue. The magazine stopped the publication. Egoiste was published from time to time, when the magazine was ready, and it was always an event. They had collaboration from the best photographers and writers. Avedon was among their regulars contributors. This publication is absolutely iconic...

I would add that this now really famous picture of Natalia by Roversi was first published in this last issue of Egoiste.

As far as I know Nicole Wisniak didn't cease the publication, this magazine only comes out every 5 years (or more in some cases). It's a very special and demanding job to edit such magazine, where all the advertising is originally mastered and produced by Wisniak.

Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton were the magazine's main photographers. Now that they are gone, the last issue main story (with Natalia on it's cover, seen above) was photographed by Paolo Roversi.

I have in my collection 4 precious issues!

I don't know... Even if there are "only" 15 issues of Egoiste, they were huge work, and when the last one was published, it was 4 years after the previous one... I think from the first publication to the last one, Egoiste has lasted something like 20 years...

No, I'm almost 100 percent sure that the publication ceased, unfortunately ! This was the best publication ever...

Sorry but you're not well informed, Egoiste first issue was released in 1977.

I was just estimating, so it's even more than 20 years, which means a really long time..
