they always have people winking...it's their thing. some people can't wink hence the covering the eye with their hand, hair etc. every single cover they have ever done is someone winking - like their logo.....there's not much else you can do to convey i-D
Emma Watson's first shot, as well as Caroline Brasch Nielsen's both would have made much better covers than any of the covers actually chosen. And I like Gisele, Lindsey, Natasha, and Raquel, and I don't particularly like Emma or Caroline, so that's saying something.
For a good while now I have been totally 'over' i-D and their multiple covers, which on the whole haven't worked and lately the content hasn't been much to shout about either. However Natasha and Riley's covers are decent and the content this time around isn't too shabby either.
There is a pic of Emma Watson inside, in the gold Chanel jacket that would have made a great cover IMO.
Anyhow here's whats inside.......
Riley Keogh by Matt Jones
Gisele Bundchen by Emma Summerton
Natasha Poly & Clement Chabernaud by Willy Vanderperre....usual minimal Willy style.
Raquel Zimmerman by Josh Olins....great outdoor pics.
Lindsey Wixon by Terry Richardson .........Awful with Lindsey being the totally wrong model for Versace clothes.
Caroline Brasch Neilson by Laura Sciavelli........ amazing editorial with Caroline looking very different and great styling.
Kreayshawn by George Harvey.
Guinevere Van Seenus by Karim Sadli
Jack Donoghue by Terry Richardson
Merethe Hopland by Walter Pfeiffer
Valerija Kelava by Alexander Huseby.......another highlight IMO.
