Not the biggest fan of multi-covers, but these are quite nice, especially Amber's!

The cover is brilliant but the way she's keeping her hand in the nude photo looks uncomfortable.

Awesome.

Mert & Marcus really shine when they keep it simple and shoot the models straightup looking drop-dead-Fred gorgeous with no gimmicks. All the women look beyond beautiful. All of them.

And leave it to Fabien to actually put models on a September issue for a fashion magazine-- imagine that... This visionary man brings out the best in everyone that works with him and leaves the rest of the magazines in the dust.

Love Linda's cover

I'm sorry, but I still don't get why Gisele wasn't featured on the cover. I can't forget about Kristen McMenamy either.

I must be living in a different decade, because for me, so much of this current supermodel imagery really falls short of the standard of what came around when these girls were dominating the industry.

It's not age, it's that somewhere along the way, the people who produce these images learned how to suck the life out of them through artless digital manipulation, and now we're left to rave over processed scraps of famous names, with their blank faces pieced together on a page by photoshop.

105 of the most fabulous faces in fashion? More than 70 models? I'm hoping for some diversity.

same thing I was thinking, her hair is the same as the ditorial (Body of Work - Vogue US April 2011), it a very good outtake

I do completely understand where you're coming from tiger. I'm in my mid- 30s, and I know-- this has nothing to do with being older, I know the current state of high fashion has been so watered-down compared to the 80s, 90 and 2000s. And that goes for not just the designers, but models, photographers, editors...

But, just because Mert & Marcus has turned Naomi into Jourdan Dunn here, it's still a beautiful image. And as aware as I am that the photoshopping is a tad (a lot) on the heavy side, I still think this collection of images is smoldering and simply beautiful (and once again, thank you Fabien for putting models on the cover instead of another actor. And, thank you for casting women, and not 15-year-old girls, at that).

Sometimes, I just have to accept the standards of beauty for the times we're in-- and for the most part, that beauty is one that is so digitally manipulated that it renders the person almost artificial. At least the women aren't so horribly airbrushed like those ELLE ones where they're left with a single, flattened-out color for a complexion...

Amber's hand is too small for her body. Looks like it was pasted in.
Christy's navel is positioned way too low, almost between her legs.

Other than that, the covers are alright.

this is just breathtaking.

the nude of Stephanie made me literally *gasp* in delight. she looks incredible!

Amber's cover is my favourite. the intensity and purpose and sensuality of her stare knocks me over.

Daria is second. that face, man. when she's done up like this - her face is captivating beyond anything. wow.

they're all beautiful, though! Kate's hand is a bit awkward.

i am so curious to see the models they used.

Gisele mustn't be a part of this feature, elsewise she'd definitely have a cover. same with Claudia.

there are a LOT of sort of "2nd tier" supermodels/fashion icons that i anticipate will be featured:

Karen
Natalia
Karolina
Lara
Shalom
Raquel
Helena
Isabeli
Kristen
Eva H
Liya
Stella

and then more of the modern ones like:

Doutzen
Ale
Candice
Karlie
Cara
Arizona
Joan
Liu

etc etc.

Very very very excited for this issue!
