great to see a magazine that loves models, names them and talks to them, thus elevating them. Not sure why people feel offended by the mixture of fashion models with tabloid celebrities-it says on the cover "fashion and fame" I cant wait to get a copy.
I'm so positively surprised by the content I've seen so far! No a single editorial has bored me. I've found the other issues too celebrity-focused or the editorials too contrived, but this issue looks amazing so far! I love the mixture of different models they've used, from Stella to Guinevere to Aggy.
I've been keeping my opinion of Love to myself for awhile, but I think it's time I shared my two cents. I do feel that some of it is gimmicky, like the staggered unveiling of the covers (although it certainly does the job of building a lot of hype, both good and bad, for the magazine), but after seeing the content for this issue I really think that Love offers something that other magazines don't--a good mix of highbrow art and kitschy culture. Some fashion publications take themselves a bit too seriously, and it's nice to see one that likes a little tackiness.
As for this issue, I love Agyness and Stella, so I think their editorials look great. Baby It's You is also very sweet, although I do wish that Lara would get her eyebrows back.
I may have missed someone explaining this, but the doll cover is one of Marina's Enchanted Dolls. Personally I'm glad to see a work of art that is still fashion-inspired featured on a fashion magazine. And perhaps I'm in the minority, but I also LOVE Rosie's cover.
this issue looks really good... i like most of the photos... very sexy and self-confidential models... covers are also pretty... especially Rosie and Alessandra
Love really is a poor man's V, isn't it? I mean, The Tits Issue, really?! What I like about V is that it knows how to tackle borderline tackiness and turn it into something fashionable, entertaining, somewhat tongue-in-cheek and somethimes quite confronting. Then comes Love and brings on the full on kitsch in a tasteless, unsubtle manner. I like most of their covers and the coverstories, but the rest is mostly a waste of paper.
I'll take V's Sexy Body Issue over Love's Tits Issue anyday....since I got two of those V's, nothing will be lost if I pick up either Rosie's or Gisele's cover, right? Like I said, I still like the covers Or should I practice what I preach? I'll wait for the main ed....
