got my issue today. For the first time in a while i decided to not look at this thread at all in the days before i got it, so that when i got the issue, i could view the editorails from a fresh gaze. It's strange as some of the shots look better online, then in print, when normally it is the reverse. This is featured in the editorial by mikael jansson which i really like the mood and the concept, but in print the lighting is just a little too dark to adjust with. Also i strangely felt underwhelmed by some of the shots by Tim Walker! This is such a suprisce for me as i normally absoulty adore his work and his ed with kate in american vogue i found legendary. But the black and white shots in this issue did not fully excite me as he normally does, it almost felt stale and some felt too like Corinne day. But nevertheless there were thankfully some shots in it that was back to the tim+kate magic that they can do.

I have to say the downtown abbey editorial is really the best shoot in my opinion. I was really happy and touched to see how the actors transformed into such beauties, once or twice i really did mistaken them as models. Well done to mert&marcus for such a good transformation. I simply love it when photographers change celebrities who are somewhat out of touch in fashion circles and transform them into something conceptual and inspiring.
