Yeah, I agree with all the comments about the paedophiliac aspect, it makes the wednesday addams in me have a fit generally.Actually yesterday, when I thought about it, I realize that it makes me think of the girls who work for KillRockStars (if anyone knows the label), all the cutesy, the little blonde fringe, the DIY ethics, the indie female rockstars, the retro vaguely nostalgic references.
I think the paedophiliac comment goes a bit to far. I certainly don't feel the paedopliliac vibe (thank god I dont)

I agree. I think childlike is a word I'm more likely to use, and I think that's supposed to be the point in the first place. I don't have a clue what other people are thinking when they look at the magazine, but I don't see that at all. If people want to look at magazines that aim to be more edgy than pretty, there are other magazines out there to read.

I agree it didn't even crossed my mind this "peado" ideas, I like Lula exactly because it's girly, dreamy, sugary pretty and disconnected, everything i'm not in real life. I never get tired of it. It's without a doubt my favourite mag.
Im pretty certain Lula wants their mag to be pretty/feminie/lovely. Its like their schtick. and come on now, if people interrpret it to seem like pedophilia that isnt Lula's fault. the girls are just dressed innocently and girlish. Its not as though they've got a bottle and diapers and piggy tails- *cough cough* drew berrymore *cough cough*. I mean the girls are never doing anything sexual. Come back to Lula once you've seen ANY susan eldridge/ terry richardson editorial and you'll think differently.

I love this cover! I'd say it's much more edgier than the usual Lula cover, but this change does not bother me at all (chic as opposed to girly is never bad!)
I've seen the Kirsten Dunst issue in Urban Outfitters in NYC at a few different locations, so maybe they'll carry this issue as well.
Do you all know if only the U.O.'s in large cities (LA, NYC, etc) would carry Lula, or do you think they all do? I live in the US, but not in a major city, but I'm dying to get my hands on these magazines!

I don't think the smaller Urban Outfitters carry Lula. I've been to one in Modesto (a smaller city in California) and never spotted one. You might try subscribing at: http://www.expressmag.com/pages/prod...pr=1&id=2LUMAG
I love this cover! Especially the contrasts with the pretty hair and flower next to the hard make-up and evil stare, it's awesome. I'll never ever tire of Lula's dreamy aesthetic; it's what makes Lula, Lula and that's precisely why I adore this magazine.
