T4P....This is actually one of Marie Claire's better covers that I've seen as of late. Julia looks great.

Sorry, but I think magazine covers are going worse and worse in the US. She looks like a barbie.

Actually I think she pulls it off since shes more of an intellectual kind of beauty than a bombshell. A bombshell...would have looked like barbie!

Very nice cover. Glad to see a different pose.

Some info from fashist:

Quote:
More of her inside revealing "the 10 hardest things I've ever learned." Reason for her cover appearance: she will soon be starring as the bedeviled mom in the remake of "The Omen" (which, as I learned by seeing a preview at the theater, is opening 6-6-06).

Also inside: Bianca Klamt, Yfke (they must really love her at MCUS), and Bekah (who, during the last few months, has done the beauty ed for every single issue of this magazine).

The only new ad is Liz Hurley for milk in a swimsuit.

I don't really get this magazine for the fashion but for the articles. One of the features is "how long does it take to do this versus that." Unsurprisingly, it's quicker and much easier to get a gun than a restraining order.

I also feel like there's an improvement here! And it's so refreshing to see an actress like Julia Stiles rather than the same Jennifers, Paris and co.

Noooooooo I hate Julie Stiles, she's more boring than Jennifer Maniston. I mean when has Stiles made a blockbuster hit?

This cover is really interesting with a different way in placing their blurbs.

I love the cover but the issue is just blah. However, there's a very good article about priorities in America. The writer goes undercover to see which is easier to get: herion or the emergency pill; a restraining order or a gun; boob job or mamogram; how to make a bomb or big mac. Pretty interesting- it's about the only thing in this issue.

Marie Claire Italia June 2006
Michelle Buswell is on the cover but not inside

3 eds with 1- Anne Catherine Lacroix in Inida
2- Louise Pedersen, very good, very summery
3- Unknown, Saphair-type with a backstage section at the end.
