Why does everyone keep pushing Karlie as this sex bomb? There is inherently nothing sexy about her. At all. Not her pre-photoshoped body, not her jack-o-lantern eyebrows, not her pouting, not her smizing. I literally cannot for the life of me understand her success.
I don't trust the authenticity of the unretouched Karlie image. Why is her belly button missing if that's really the unretouched photo?

My feelings exactly. Except that, as a fan of Karlie when she first came out, I do see the appeal.. I just thought they were going to push her career as the not-so-next door American girl, sort of like Angela Lindvall or Frankie Rayder maybe, she had similar features and energy and that kind of stare you can play with in a thousand ways, and her body type makes sense with all of that. Trying to push her as a bombshell, especially in a time when you have models like Lara Stone, Candice, Kate Upton.. it's a lost battle to me. And even though I'm not a guy, I honestly think you could find more sensuality in her photographs when she had clothes on and the attention was focused on poses and expression.. now not only it's a bit awkward for the viewer but you can see the desperation just trying to mold her body in a way that hopefully emits something sexual... and it's not happening.
L'Ange Noir is gorgeous.. .. beautiful colors and fantastic model choice.

Well said.
And I agree with you about "L'Ange Noir." How clearly it illustrates the natural and effortless quality of Anne's beauty and modeling versus Karlie's desperate and contrived version of it. And ultimately because of it, I find Anne's demure editorial far more sensual and appealing than I do Karlie's poor effort to be erotic.
Wow, I haven't liked so many editorials within a Numero issue in such a long time! That cover is just flawless and it's fantastic to see Cat nab it. The whole menswear-meets-womenswear appeal of the cover is what really catches my attention. Plus, that hair style looks fantastic on her. The gold sequined trimmings on the lapels, the tie, the hair, the strong stare straight into the camera..it all just works, imo.
Anja's cover looks quite lovely. Can't get over how amazing she looks in that Balmain dress. The colored hair gives it a nice, youthful touch.
I've never understood Ginta's appeal and she's doing nothing for me in her editorial. Fantastic styling, but the images could've been way more superior than they are. They're just flat out lackluster. She just isn't dynamic in the editorial whatsoever.
Querelle's editorial has to be one of my favorites. Love the strong contrast between the nice suits and more suited looks against the heavy desert. I'm perceiving a subtle amish feel to it, which is fantastic how the results came out.
Karlies editorial is, well, nice. I'm kind of getting a little overwhelmed with her doing these kind of editorials. Karlie's becoming a bit predictable in terms of what to see in her editorials, which is unfortunate because she's such a terrific model.
