I love Elza's and Anne's photos! Really flawless. I am not impressed by Karlie's ed tho, it looks scary and cheap, sorry. Seriously, I just don't see Karlie as a sexy kind of model.
Sincere apologies tentalicious, that's just truly pushing for an unwanted discussion!
Anyway, best Numéro edition in a long, long time.. every story (even Karlie's, focusing on the composition and ignoring the insistence on the impossible) is stellar. Perfectly put together.
I have never been a Karlie fan, and at one point, I might be what one calls a "hater". But her printwork seems to just get better and better. I really her ed here! I also love Anna V's.
Love that Anne V's become a regular
They have finally put a decent issue! Everything looks good, except Nadja's editorial, which is trying too hard for me. And I have no problems with Karlie's... I think she's completely aware of her body and she knows how to play with it. She's got a certain Tyra Banks' vibe but I think she works it
I just thought they were going to push her career as the not-so-next door American girl, sort of like Angela Lindvall or Frankie Rayder maybe, she had similar features and energy and that kind of stare you can play with in a thousand ways, and her body type makes sense with all of that. Trying to push her as a bombshell, especially in a time when you have models like Lara Stone, Candice, Kate Upton.. it's a lost battle to me. And even though I'm not a guy, I honestly think you could find more sensuality in her photographs when she had clothes on and the attention was focused on poses and expression.. now not only it's a bit awkward for the viewer but you can see the desperation just trying to mold her body in a way that hopefully emits something sexual... and it's not happening.
.
Easily my favorite magazine. I love the models they use, the photographers, the editorials blow me away each month. I'm happy I finally subscribed, because the editorials always look even better in real life.
I always thought Anne V is more of a commercial model, but she has been proving me wrong for quite some time now and I love it, because she's amazing.
The cover looks okay, I'm sure it will be more striking in print than it tends to be online. Don't ask me why but I like when magazines do the whole shiny foil thing once in a while, seems suitable in this instance and can make the added difference. Looks like some good editorials as always, Anja's looks interesting and I love 'Strangers in the Night'. It sure could have been Mert and Marcus's work, I'm liking the use of colours more than anything and Elza.
