Maybe because we only have seen three out of ten, and a lot of people thought the first two ones were boring

They could have tried to do a colored background (something like Raquel's cover in #77..) but I like it. I wonder how they are gonna put architecture concept to each editorial... This short (well, maybe not) moment between leak of cover and review is always exciting!

to be honest i can hardly think of any reasonable point of giving Dior the cover of the Architecture issue (well, maybe, except for some advertising obligations). today Dior is definitely not the house that one would consider to have anything to do with sculptural/architectural approach to design. wouldn't, say, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander or Azzedine Alaia do more justice for this theme? and even though the dress looks pretty fine and challenging some volume in this pretty odd tribal way, that zebra belt is killing me.
but i must confess, not being a fan of Heidi, i really like the girl here. even though i still can't get her in general.

^Although I'm not a fashion expert I think Gareth Pugh would have worked really well. But maybe that would have ben too obvious.

Actually now that I look at the cover again I think if her neck would have been really long and if she slightly looked up it would have looked even better but I'm happy with the cover how it is.

I hope the contents are better than the cover, I agree that it doesn't match the subject at all.
I don't find Zaha Hadid overrated at all. It's a shame how her name seems to pop up everywhere now as this gives people this 'hype' feeling that causes a talent like Hadid to often lose the credit and respect that she does deserve. She has done so much great work, I will never forget an exhibition of hers that i've seen in the guggenheim in NYC

I do agree about the cover, do not find it very architectural.

I think that Gianfranco Ferré or Balenciaga are choices that would have fit the concept better.

you make her sound like a victim, and I don't think she is, she's earned that hype feeling all by herself . But anyway, I agree that she's done some great proyects, but many disasters as well, and I have to add that I'm not really fond of her style, sorry. And even if liked it, I don't think some of those crazy drawings are really... practical, and not only from the point of view of the construction but also in terms of living there, some times she looks more like a graphic artist instead of an architect.

Zaha Hadid has done many impressive projects, but the thing about her is that she rarely take the surrounding environment into account. She just slams down a building on a site and doesn't seem to care if it's Barceloneta in Barcelona or Manhatten in New York. Anyway, that's my impression ..
