I don't like the cover and the editorial- too much photoshop for me.

Whatever they did to her beauty and hair-wise, it does not work for Constance and pretty much destroys the entire editorial. The cover is not appealing at all...like was said before, if you screw up the angle in a photo of Constance, her features look bulky and out of proportion. The lighting doesn't help either. Who shot this anyway? Akrans?

To get the mood across, they wouldn't even have needed to mess around and overlay effects that have flattened the life out of things - just shoot her against the landscape, include a bit of that in the shot for atmosphere, and leave her face alone.

It's the trick of giving people something else to look at in the shot, to distract the eye from the slight flaw in the person. Here's an issue of Country Life to show the myriad possibilities for an autumnal landscape shot where you could shoot from so many angles, crop in, and still get some gorgeous detail alongside the girl, both near and far. Provide a stunning angle on some aspect of the backdrop, and there's no need to put Constance through the photoshop mutation process (newsstand.co.uk).

Then again, maybe lifelessness has become Numero's cover style, maybe the magazine is going through that tired phase that can happen to any publication, where things just aren't as sharp and inspired as they once were.

was it really hard to find a black model that could do Constance's ed? was there no one available?
Akran's ed isn't so bad it's just unfortunate that it looks like so many of her other Paris themed eds.

Edita looks gorgeous as always but a bit underwhleming so far.

and thumbnails please? I keep seeing huge photos posted around the forum in the original size and that's against the rules.

I'm in the minority but I think Contsance's face looks lovely on the cover. She actually reminds me a little bit of Julia Stegner from that angle, just with the shape of her mouth.

It's not looking promising. Honestly, I expect much more from Numéro.

Totally agreed!
I need to see more to judge this issue, but so far I'm not liking it.

I kinda like Constance's ed but not for the right reasons - I just look at it, chuckle and say, "Oh Tyra!"
